But seriously, Mr. Elshal, you give me hope. Because if they didn't accept you, they're obviously not done accepting yet.

I guess I don't hold out hope of being directly accepted as a part of the regular applicant pool, and I would feel more (falsely) in control of the situation if I were WL'd because I could beg/bribe/charm/seduce my way into an acceptance02889 wrote:I think that would have weird results. Edit #2: what about going straight to WL? I'm above 50th percentile LSAT but below 25th percentile GPA.

That's totally reasonable. But the thought of getting a decision in December, then definitely having to wait until at least May for an update is painful. April gives like the tiniest possible bit of hope.francesfarmer wrote:I guess I don't hold out hope of being directly accepted as a part of the regular applicant pool, and I would feel more (falsely) in control of the situation if I were WL'd because I could beg/bribe/charm/seduce my way into an acceptance02889 wrote:I think that would have weird results. You're right, I just don't have hope. Actually at this point I'm hoping that I get waitlisted at both NYU and Columbia and then beg and beg both of them until August all while putting down my seat deposits at Michigan and crying about having to move to Michigan. My fantasies are often depressing.02889 wrote:That's totally reasonable. But the thought of getting a decision in December, then definitely having to wait until at least May for an update is painful. Just got the call!! So excited! With a LSAT just below the 25th and GPA above the 75th, I never thought they'd admit me right away. Good luck to everyone else!

Question with the deferrals - do the decisions definitely come in April or could it possibly come before that? Is that just like a cut-off, or will we just not get re-reviewed until then?

Do any of the admittees who submitted in November (congrats, btw!) have C&F issues?
Trying to hold out hope. Had a speeding ticket... which I know really shouldn't impact my application, but I'm hoping they might put people with C&F stuff in a separate pile or something.

I was always under the impression that traffic offenses need not be reported. That would be silly.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:Do any of the admittees who submitted in November (congrats, btw!) have C&F issues?

Too soon to assume that I've been rejected? Been under review since 10/16.

Depends on the wording of each school's app. I think I sent a C&F addendum to maybe two schools whose wording was vague enough to give me pause. The vast majority so explicitly exclude minor traffic violations, though.teiswei wrote:I was always under the impression that traffic offenses need not be reported. As has been mentioned, it varies by school.teiswei wrote:I was always under the impression that traffic offenses need not be reported. That would be silly.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:Do any of the admittees who submitted in November (congrats, btw!) have C&F issues?

This is one of NYU's C&F questions:
I marked yes because a traffic violation seemed to fall under the category of offense to me.Have you ever, either as an adult or a juvenile, been charged with or convicted of any crime, or charged with or found to have committed any offense (whether or not defined as a crime), or are any such charges pending? Yep, I just checked and NYU was one of the schools that I sent a C&F addendum.
