WL - sent an e-mail asking for response by April 26th to remain on the wait list, going to let the time expire and withdraw.
GL to everyone on the WL, best wishes.

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
Well, the language of the e-mail did not say I could reply to it to withdraw. It said to reply to a specifically provided e-mail, different from their general admissions e-mail, for the purpose of accepting their invitation to join the wait-list. On April 26, if they received no response, they will withdraw my application. I assumed that sending any sort of reply to that e-mail would be taken as confirmation of their invitation.
..do...you think I should reply to it and say I'm not interested? I truly didn't think it worked like that and didn't want to remain on the wait-list. I assumed this separate e-mail address tracks and confirms wait-list automatically through some program.
Please advise. Now you've all got me worried I've been a terrific jack*(!

I would send it to the general admissions e-mail.Tekrul wrote:Well, the language of the e-mail did not say I could reply to it to withdraw. I have done this in the past with language like:
In those instances I have received affirmative replies back that my application has been withdrawn.Dear ___,
Thank you for your careful consideration of my application. I am honored to still be under consideration as a waitlist candidate; however, I have chosen to attend another program this fall and would like to withdraw my application.
Best Regards,

Girlfriend: "If you haven't called by Friday, I'll assume you just don't want to be with me anymore."Tekrul wrote:..do...you think I should reply to it and say I'm not interested?
You: "I'm just not going to call. She'll get the picture."

I'm not entirely certain there is one worse or crueler way to handle your hypo.
Hence, the process of my deliberation.

Oh goodness.
Just send them an email saying you withdraw. And if a girl ever says that, just tell her straight up that it's not going to work.

I did follow Rory19 and your collective advice before eating dinner.
I guess better to save face at their admissions office than here.

Has anyone toured the campus? Any info on what it's like or if you get to speak with admissions at all?

I got accepted back in Feb but still no word on scholarship.
Anyone else still have no idea whether or not they are getting money?
I called and asked for an update a week or so ago and they sent me a response letting me know. I would email them at scholarships@law.upenn.edu and ask for some info.

I'm pretty sure you can speak to admissions/financial aid if you want. The door to their office is always open (during normal business hours) and I see people in there sometimes.LRGhost wrote:Has anyone toured the campus? Any info on what it's like or if you get to speak with admissions at all?

Cool, perhaps that's something I can do when I visit. To be fair, I'm WLed and had emailed them asking but received a response that they cannot schedule people who aren't accepted. But here's to hoping!SportsFan wrote:I'm pretty sure you can speak to admissions/financial aid if you want. She didn't mention it, but the office had told me they would notify candidates almost certainly by tomorrow. Good luck!Gisney wrote:CMC88 wrote:I heard yesterday! But I let them know that the only other school I am considering has a deadline this Friday.Gisney wrote:Fellow Toll hopefuls, any word?

also have not heard yet. would be pretty surprised to have gotten it based on a poor interview, but i hope that doesn't bode poorly for the rest of you who haven't heard yetCMC88 wrote:She didn't mention it, but the office had told me they would notify candidates almost certainly by tomorrow. Yup, just spoke with Penn Finaid. I did not get Toll...I'm guessing that doesn't bode well for others who haven't heard yet. Sorry
They did offer me separate scholarship money though, so there's hope for us rejected folk!

Yea my hopes for Toll have died. Other money would be nice but that seems doubtful in my case.sd1234 wrote:Yup, just spoke with Penn Finaid. I did not get Toll...I'm guessing that doesn't bode well for others who haven't heard yet. Sorry
