From past years, I don't believe they ding anyone until January...

Looks like that they sent out one batch of email acceptance in the morning. Ahhhhhhhh. Still holding out hope though, as it's only 2pm here on the west coast.

How do scholarships work for those admitted? Do you have to apply for money sometime after being admitted, or will they proactively offer merit-based scholarships?

Anyone think admissions emails will be sent out tomorrow or later this week? or were they only for today?

Berkeley appears to announce most of their admits on Mondays.

Last cycle, there were 60 admits on LSN by the end of the week before Christmas. This cycle, there have already been 56 admits.

Last cycle, Berkeley didn't admit anyone on LSN during the week of Christmas. They then admitted 8 people during the first week and 8 more people during the second week of January, but they also denied 40 applicants on LSN during that second week.

 Merry Christmas!!!

So bad news for people that weren't admitted today?

Do we know if Dean Tom rejects people in his initial review? If so, I would assume that is the first wave of rejections. I would think a lot of people might get held for awhile if they are going under review with the committee. Wouldn't those be the last spots, or at least close to the last spots given out?

This is really depressing. Quick question, is there another status after Under Review? Because I went UR back on 11/5, I'm now resigned to the fact that I'm most likely going to get dinged, but it'd be nice to have a little warning before it happens.

Grats, twinkletoes! I'm really hoping this follows the same pattern for you NYU acceptance, where I heard from them several hours after you posted about getting in too. Holding on to the idea that because we have similar numbers and submitted around the same time the same good things happen to me, too. Probably wishful thinking, but we'll see if that pans out.
Haha I had no idea! I hope we do have similar cycles. Best of luck!

Wow, congratulations! Did you submit on 11/28? That's a faaaast turnaround!

Yep, all the dates are accurate. Went UR like 12/6 I wanna say. Had a ONE day turnaround for NYU. Idk what's going on with my cycle.

I'm UR 11/21, still no word. How were you notified of admission? Call or snail mail? I had a really quick turnaround for NYU also, not sure whats going on with Cal.

176/3.83, honestly thought Berkeley was a stretch and hadn't paid much attention, but now I'm definitely interested and can't wait to visit. Went under review on 12/5.
Congratulations~~~ At what time was the email sent?

I'm above their 75th for LSAT and GPA, complete late Nov, but haven't heard back.
Yea, I'm about median GPA and above 75th LSAT. I submitted mid-Nov and seeing these people who have gotten in after submitting in December really worries me.
Me, too. I thought this was the year for high LSATs. We still have hope, though. Maybe there will be more (affirmative) decisions soon? After Christmas?

Is it just me, or does it look like they're favoring LSAT scores this year instead of GPAs?

Oh man, I am completely, absolutely freaking out right now. How did other people get admitted so quickly after going under review? :( :(

She is Chinese and declined to answer those questions anyway. A year abroad after college, a great PS (I've read it!), REALLY great LORs, one from a dean at her Ivy.

Thanks, couldn't check my email till the end of the day, but it was sent at 930 am western time. I think I got the admit partly cause I expressed interest in entertainment/music business law which they place really well in. Noticed we have similar numbers on LSN, not gonna lie, pretty jealous of that NYU acceptance. Good luck on your admissions.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
