NU 49k v GW 130k
Heavy UG debt (about 60k). Total educational loan payments (w/ standard 10-year) @ graduation come out to about 22/yr w/ GW and about 38/yr w/ NU. Career goal = lots of $$$$ with a hearty appreciation for flexibility (geographic, practice). Scholarship amounts are relative (i.e. they take into account NU costs 5k/year more than GW). LSAT > 75%tile at both schools. I sometimes wear crocs.
edit: Thank you TLS in advance for your collective wisdom. It will be a BIG help.

Don't go to law school if you want $$$ and geographic flexibilityOhHelpMeLawd wrote:Heavy UG debt (about 60k). Assuming that these are your only two options, then Northwestern is the better choice due to superior job placement stats.

What's the 3 year cost of attendance at each?

At NU, debt at repayment = 220k. Combined w/ 60 UG, that's 280k in educational debt, at a blended average of about 7%/year.Aberzombie1892 wrote:What's the 3 year cost of attendance at each?
At GW, debt at repayment = 100k. Combined w/ 60 UG, that's 160k in educational debt, at the same blended average.
Loan service, including UG, is I think most interesting. On the 10 year plan for law school debt (for UG debt--the 10 year minus 3 years already serviced):
Having gone to GW: 22k/year.
Having gone to NU: 39k/year.
So, a $170,000 difference.

I'm not sure that Northwestern is worth 280k (+ interest?) but I'm certain GW is not worth 160k+
