Thomas Jefferson School of Law VS. Whittier Law School
OK so I have seen alot of shit talking on this site and I ask that all comments and opinions are unbiased because I am already confused as it is and there is no need to bad mouth I want facts and honest thoughts.
I have been waitlisted at TJSL and have been admitted into the Hochner Pre-Admissions Summer Program at WSL. If I pass the program at WSL I am granted a spot in their Fall class of 2012 and I am hoping that by passing this class I can convince TJSL to grant me a spot in their class too. Now the dilemma comes in if I get into both. I dont know which to choose. I am certain I will end up in SD (due to the fact my fiance has his career established there) so I dont know where I should go...
HELP...

This is my completely unbiased opinion - retake the LSAT or don't go. This is not shit talking, just the most rational advice based on the employment statistics for both of these schools. Your chance of getting any kind of legal job will be slim.

The facts are that these are two pf the very worst schools in the country. Both schools are atrocious decisions at any price point in just about all circumstances. You would be making a colossal mistake by going to either. That's not shit talk. Its the truth!

you really should retake. those pre-admission programs are total money grabs, and tbh, getting waitlisted at tjsl isn't a great sign. save yourself thousands of dollars, do well on the lsat, and get a huge scholarship to usd.

The Wall Street Journal published an interesting piece on legal employment this morning:

In which they claim:

The bottom five included Whittier College (17%), University of the District of Columbia (21%), Golden Gate University (22%), Thomas Jefferson School of Law (27%) and Western New England University (30%).

It sounds like this is not in fact what you want. It appears that what you want is for some people to reassure you that attending at least one of these two schools would not be an unspeakably terrible decision that could utterly ruin you financially. That isn't going to happen on this forum. The "shit-talking" you mention is firmly grounded in clear facts that demonstrate beyond dispute what awful investments paying to attend either of these schools would be.abarraga wrote:OK so I have seen alot of shit talking on this site and I ask that all comments and opinions are unbiased because I am already confused as it is and there is no need to bad mouth I want facts and honest thoughts.

Flame.
Either that or you are one stupid human being. For more reasons than one. You got waitlisted at Thomas Jefferson? I am shocked they even have a waitlist.

Check out the front page of the WSJ today regarding a recent ABA report on percentage of students with full time jobs requiring law degrees. Both of these schools come in the bottom five

There's no point in being a dick about it. Retake or don't go would have sufficed.abc12345675 wrote:Flame.
