How quickly do you think one can wait to send in a LOCI? My graduation is in a month and so I won't know if I've received any major awards until then. Would it be advisable to wait until I have something substantive to say/update them on?
no

I would get it in soon ASAP..within the next week, most WL decisions are made in early may, you would miss that if you waited a month

Did anyone receive confirmation after sending in their waitlist opt-in form? I emailed mine, but did not receive confirmation. I didn't think we would since I'm sure they are have a lot on their plates right now, but just wanted to check in case others did receive confirmation that their waitlist form was received. Thanks!

Good to know, thanks! With all of the sudden fear in the other Yale thread about lack of confirmations, I was getting nervous...

So, I sent in a LOCI back in early March before I was waitlisted. I want to send in second, brief, half-page LOCI now just to let them know about some of the interesting things I've been doing at my job since then. But, I see on her blog, Dean Rangappa says we should only submit one LOCI. What do you guys think, is sending in another half-page letter a bad idea? Even if I actually have things to say? I don't want to annoy them!

Checking in! I had to call to find out my status and apparently I've been on the waitlist since April 16th. Don't think I'll wait it out past June though. Good luck guys!

I think it all depends on what you're telling them. If you just cured cancer, you should write another LOCI. If it's something relatively insignificant or not very applicable to your law school candidacy, don't stretch it.

If you do write one, I think you should try to be as concise as possible.

Same here.

Now to keep on hoping that they pick me. You know that episode of boy meets world where Cory convinces most of the kids who got into Pennbrook to withdraw so that Shawn could get off the wait list.....having a Cory right now won't be bad. Lol

People were getting in this time last week....wondering why there is still silence....it's not like yale was behind like the other schools.

It's gotta be soon, right? Any chance it's already happened, just not to any of us?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
