So my boss (a senior attorney at the DOJ) offered to write a letter of recommendation to schools I've been waitlisted at and any school that I've yet to hear from. Obviously there are two categories of schools here so any advice on either would be helpful.
So do you think it's wise to send it to waitlisted schools? Schools that haven't responded? Both?
Do I go about it through LSAC/CAS or do I send it directly to the schools? Do I email admissions officers as to who to send it to/to warn them to be on the lookout for these letters? Do you think it's even worth my time/will it make a difference?
Any other advice/general knowledge I should know before doing this.
Thanks for your help.

I think a new LOR is something worthwhile to send to a school that has wait-listed you or hasn't gotten back to you yet. It won't make a huge different but it shows you are still interested and marginally improves your application, which may come into play when they're deciding to pull people off the wait-list. Send it through LSAC. I think it's worth your time and you should do it.travman90 wrote:So my boss (a senior attorney at the DOJ) offered to write a letter of recommendation to schools I've been waitlisted at and any school that I've yet to hear from. Re: Late LOR to schools?
I had a prof send an additional LOR to a school I just hadn't heard from. I sent it to them directly and was admitted two weeks later.
