Texas is awesome! And by Texas I mean the state and the law school. Where else are you considering?

BTW if y'all haven't already joined the FB group, I'd recommend it. Dean Ingram has been posting good info on there (matching scholarship info, etc).

Basically I'm deciding whether to take on an intimidating amount of debt at a higher ranked school, or if I should take the money at UT. It would be pretty great to graduate with very little debt. And Austin is awesome. And most of my friends and family are in Texas. I have other options that would maximize my biglaw chances, though. I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Do you want to work in big law for your career, or do you want big law to pay off more debt at a higher ranked school.

It was an easy choice for me. Really didn't personally like the locations of better ranked schools. Too far from home.

The one thing I will say against UT is that it seems to have the oldest and ugliest law school (on the inside) of any schools anywhere near in that place the rankings. I haven't seen EVERY other place, so I could be wrong, but I bet UT is really in the running. Which is sad considering how nice most of the other buildings on campus are.
