Southwestern 2012 applicants
Contacted by judge Cynthia Jayvis for an interview. Went to meet with her at the LA superior courthouse on WED. She was amazing and really nice and extended me the offer of admissions. I also got the admit email today.

Has anyone received any scholarship money and if so was that in your admissions packet or later?

I got an email about a week after my acceptance inviting me to interview for a scholarship. After you interview it takes a couple more weeks for them to give you a decision. I did get the full scholarship though.quiksilver21af wrote:Has anyone received any scholarship money and if so was that in your admissions packet or later?

Stats? I'm considering applying but only if a full scholarship was likely.stacia137 wrote:I got an email about a week after my acceptance inviting me to interview for a scholarship. Re: Southwestern 2012 applicants
I was accepted and offered a full ride after I interviewed on campus. I have a 3.59 and 160. The school itself is pretty small. It is only two buildings in the middle of Los Angeles. One thing I found strange was how quiet the campus was, both inside and outside. It definitely isn't in the best area, nor is it in the worst. One major upside is that it is within a couple blocks of the Metro so transportation to and from any part of L.A. is reasonable. I interviewed on the first day that classes began for the Semester and nearly everyone was smiling, friendly, and dressed really casual. It seemed like a comfortable place, almost reminded me of a Community College atmosphere. (I don't mean to offend anyone by that, I attended Community College and enjoyed it immensely)
The interview itself went really well. It was more of a conversation and opportunity for them to sell me on the school. It seems as though they have a really supportive and friendly staff where the staff members actually know a good portion of the students by name and greet each other whenever they pass by.
I left the interview extremely satisfied with my experience and am giving it a lot of consideration.

I just got an e-mail about the SCALE presentation in a few weeks with an invite to interview. Did other people still waiting to hear back get the same? I'm definitely considering going.

Re: Southwestern 2012 applicants
I got a call yesterday about setting up a SCALE interview. I would prefer to do the traditional 3 year program though, if I turn down the interview would it lessen my chances of getting into Southwestern?

Re: Southwestern 2012 applicants
i got into their SCALE program very quickly after my interview with them (like just 3 days after it, and during the interview i was unofficially told that i was accepted). i was wondering about scholarships though, and i see that someone got a full scholarship here. hopefully they still have money left to offer me a scholarship of sorts, if not my spot is open to someone who is waiting to be admitted here!

Re: Southwestern 2012 applicants
I got in about a week after my interview. It's been a little over a week since I've been accepted and have received a lot of information from them, but no scholarship information. I am flying out there on Saturday to go to the SCALE event on Sunday, and tour the school Monday. Anyone else going?

In review since 4/11, anyone else in the same boat who has heard back? Also do people mind giving their LSAT score, GPA, review dates and decisions? I am trying to gage my chances. Thanks all.

Re: Southwestern 2012 applicants
Thanks though I did not apply to SCALE. You bring up a good point though, I and others still waiting to receive a decision as a regular admit would appreciate it if people who applied as regular admits would withdraw if they do not plan no attending. Thanks and good luck to all.success888 wrote:withdrew my seat from the SCALE program. hope it goes to one of you who are waiting to hear back.

Hi does anyone know what time they usually update their status check and what time it shuts off?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
