Was yesterday the last day applications are reviewed at most schools until after the holiday break?

It depends on the schools, but I don't think anyone knows for sure. A poster hypothesized that Berkeley was done for 2011. And I think spek called and found out that Stanford's office is closed next week. People are still waiting for ED decisions from U of C, Columbia and some other places, though.

i was wondering the same. it probably varies from school to school... for example, @kathrynforlaw (Fordham) tweeted that the last decisions of 2011 are going out today or tomorrow. it's going to be a looooooong winter break...

As others have said it depends upon the school. Many will still be in office until the middle of the week, so it is still possible to hear back.
