University of Kansas Class of 2015 Applicants
I'm Under Review as of yesterday, but some untitled mailing went out on November, 28th that I haven't received yet. Anyone else applying?

I might, I received a fee waiver today. I'm probably going to hold off until I receive my Dec. score. Good luck.

Yeah I got a fee waiver today. I'm in-state so I'm going to toss them an application.

I checked my status checker about 10 minutes ago with no update, but I just got a call saying I'm in with a fairly small scholarship. I'm sure you'll get in bmili.bmili wrote:congrats! did your status checker ever update?

Anyone know how easy it is to obtain residency for years 2 and 3?
Edit: A simple search could have helped me

I rage just a little bit every time someone posts that they got in, but don't post their numbers. If I wanted a rub I would call my gf, I want information hence why I am trolling a law school forum. Please help your neighbor and post your stats plox.

Re: University of Kansas Class of 2015 Applicants
So, I'm entertaining throwing an app Kansas' way. Answer a question for me if any of you can.
From the looks of the residency brochure, I should be able to get residency if my wife can transfer her employment to Kansas or show she has been "recruited" somehow. She basically works from home, but could get a note from her employer "transferring" her to Kansas. Would this have any prayer of working? Also, if she was somehow offered a job prior to us moving out, do you think I would be able to justify that as "recruited" to work in Kansas?
Just wondering if anyone has any experience or knows of anyone that has experience with this loophole? It would place KU pretty high on my list if we could qualify for residency (if I'm even admitted to KU Law...that's still very much in question as I haven't finished applying yet and my numbers are a little below median). Anyways, if anyone has any idea, feel free to PM me or post it in this forum. Thanks!

I would think she would have to be transferred to Kansas before you even applied. From speaking with KU, residency can be established but seems unlikely in general. The key would be to show that you are reliant on Kansas sources for financial support as you are married.ineptimusprime wrote:So, I'm entertaining throwing an app Kansas' way. I submitted my app the day before Thanksgiving, and I still haven't heard anything. Worth a call to check?
