George Mason c/o 2015 (2011-2012 cycle)
Haven't seen anyone post yet, anyone else applying? Haven't had much movement other than my app going complete.

I'm in the exact same boat. Hopefully some movement soon.

applied a while back. Looks like last year's first round of decisions came on Dec. 1, hopefully we get some news today.

Sent in my application the day I got paid (yesterday). Hopefully I boost my score Saturday enough to get in. DC is the only other city I'd want to practice in, and GMU would be a great fit for me.

Haven't heard back yet, but I think I'll probably withdraw. I'm staying in NOVA for four weeks for job training (just took a promotion), and I HATE it. It is a clusterfuck of urban planning, and I'm pretty sure, were I to attend, I'd spend half of my three years sitting in traffic.
I'm disappointed. I really thought I'd like the DC area.

Yeah if you don't like traffic, don't go to DC. NOVA is undergoing some construction work right now though, so I'm not sure it's fair to judge how it always is with the problems now.

Applied the 28th. No indication on their status checker whether or not my app is complete.
Merely says:
Decision Status:
Decision Status Date: 11/30/2011
Confused.

I'll be applying as soon as I figure out how to hack my PS down to the 500 word limit.

The lady in admissions told me the 500 word limit is not strict, just keep the PS to two pages double spaced.Lurkster wrote:I'll be applying as soon as I figure out how to hack my PS down to the 500 word limit.

I can't find the status checker anywhere on their website. Is there a link that you use? The one they emailed me isn't working.seahawk32 wrote:Applied the 28th. No indication on their status checker whether or not my app is complete.

I have that link bookmarked, but for some reason it doesn't always work. I provided the other link just to be safe.

Just got my application in today. Is anybody else applying for in-state tuition? If so, how do you attach the domicile form? Should you just mail it?
Good luck everybody! (Unless I get rejected, then I hate you all.)

How long did it take to receive a status checker email? I submitted on December 2nd and have not heard a word from them....should I send them an email confirming receipt of my application?

I applied to Mason on 11/28. Received status checker e-mail on 11/30, but it can take 2 weeks or more to receive a status checker. I would wait a few days.Kage3212 wrote:How long did it take to receive a status checker email? IN! Just missed a call from a 703 area code. I checked the message and it was from the Dean of Diversity Services congratulating me on admission. She said they'll be sending a packet tomorrow.
