Good luck to you too! No I go to school too far away to make it to the open house, which is unfortunate because UConn is one of my top choices!JoeMo wrote:Good luck! Are you going to the open house this weekend? I'll be there.cph4life wrote:Been complete since 10/31

Applied on Halloween, absolutely gorgeous campus and surrounding area. With a 169/3.94, I'm really hoping they love me as much as I love them and offer a nice scholarship!

OMG... they totally will. You are well above both 75th's. I mean, it didn't sound like they give HUGE scholarships from the open house, however, you'll likely get whatever the max is. The tuition is a lot lower than most schools to begin with and apparently it's not very hard to establish residency after the first year. The dean of admissions there is a peach, very straight forward.bobbyh1919 wrote:Applied on Halloween, absolutely gorgeous campus and surrounding area. oh also... they start churning out applications in December is what I was told but they don't do scholarship review until February so do not expect to get any scholarship info in your admit package.bobbyh1919 wrote:Applied on Halloween, absolutely gorgeous campus and surrounding area. I have to imagine that admitting people and then handing out scholarships later puts them at a disadvantage when it comes to recruiting the kids they want. Unless of course they make it clear that any potential offer will arrive in the next few weeks, etc.

And I was also told that they don't start reviewing applications until January, so we get to be anxious for a few more months.

Re: UCONN applicants 2011-2012
The dean said normally they don't start reviewing until January but last year because of all the snow it really pushed their timeline back. So this year they'll be starting to review applications within the next couple of weeks, with the first batch of decisions expected to be sent out the first week in December. So we might get early answers this year.bobbyh1919 wrote:And I was also told that they don't start reviewing applications until January, so we get to be anxious for a few more months.
Also, I think they make it really clear that scholarship review doesn't begin until February in your admit package from the way it sounded.

Applied this weekend, 3.6/160, does anybody have a few of the options on the requirement list of the app status checker unchecked? I keep combing through my application to see if I missed anything but it looks complete to me!

All the requirements will be checked once you go complete.
Also, per status checker:
Your application to the University of Connecticut School of Law is complete. The Admissions Committee will begin reviewing completed files in January. We review files in the order that they become complete. An email letter will be sent to you as soon as a decision is made on your application.
Maybe the above is just a hold-over message from last year, but I'm not expecting anything until January.

Well W&M says something about May but they clearly have already started sending out decisions.Killingly wrote:All the requirements will be checked once you go complete.

In UCONN's case it definitely is a holdover message. As I said, I personally had a lengthy conversation with the dean of admissions on Saturday where I was told that decisions would start going out in early December. But if you don't expect anything until January then you'd get a pleasant surprise.

Anyone else get a seat deposit section added to their status checker?

Was that always there? If you're referring to "1st Seat Deposit" and "2nd Seat Deposit", I have those too. Maybe I just didn't notice them before?Killingly wrote:Anyone else get a seat deposit section added to their status checker?

I also got that today. When it happened at Notre Dame, I got in later that day. Not sure what to expect here though.
