If the weather is nice, hike up Spencer's Butte. Best cafe is Vero. If you come a little closer to summer, absolutely check out the Saturday Market downtown, or the farmer's market if you are not here on a weekend. A walk along the Willamette by campus and to Autzen stadium is a great suggestion, as mentioned above. The art museum on campus is also pretty nice. At the Natural History museum, right behind the law school, we have the (world's?) oldest shoes.

It's cool that people are starting to hear back.
To clarify. I suppose the river is north of campus, not east.

To the Oregon Law students, if any of you are still here: How hard is it to land a 1L environmental law fellowship? I'm down for the 4k and all of the different sub-groups are interesting me in their own way (although, of course, I'm more qualified for some than others).
Also, even more tangentially, is anyone considering the new JD/MA in Journalism joint option?

Didn't catch anything in the package. It did say that I should receive my financial aid offering on duckweb in March after they process my FAFSA, not sure if it's different for me since I'm currently an Oregon undergrad.ziegltic wrote:any scholarship info?canamerican90 wrote:In via snail mail today , complete on 1/9. Has anyone seen if they have an ASW yet? I only navigated the site briefly, but I couldn't find it.

So I left my mailing address to my parents' house, as my undergraduate institution is in a sketchy area. That email basically told me I was admitted into U Oregon. Not going to complain one bit.

Same for me, but with a 3.7 171. Congrats on the scholly! That's huge if you're in-state!llachans wrote:3.5/160.

I wish but I'm out-of-state. I've had really good luck negotiating scholarships though so we'll see if Oregon is as generous. Congrats to you as well!Campagnolo wrote: Same for me, but with a 3.7 171. Congrats on the scholly! That's huge if you're in-state!

In with 10k a year. But, I'm OOS and the expected tuition is about $30,000
I have a slightly better scholly at L&C, making the difference in tuition only a couple of grand. This is going to be tough.

The waiting is killing me. It's the only school I haven't heard from. Why must Oregon be so slow?

Let me know if you have Q's about the city or school in general, I can help somewhat since I've done all my education from middle school to undergrad thus far here in the Euge.KibblesnBitts wrote:In with 10k a year. But, I'm OOS and the expected tuition is about $30,000
