Congrats!! When did you apply, when did you status change, etc....
Applied Mid-November, application complete shortly after that.. I checked my status on Jan 19th and it said decision rendered, so it might have been earlier, but received my letter on the 24th.

I'm not too sure if you have to fill out the USD app before or after, I am wondering as well. I think that once you have a completed FAFSA and your info is sent to the schools they will send you scholarship/financial aid info.mertle wrote:do we have to fill out and submit the financial aid app before we receive scholarship info?

I have an easy question. How does someone go about withdrawing?

I've got you beat by a month. I think they're waiting until the deadline passes to get a better snapshot of the pool.bulldoglaw wrote:Complete since 11/21, still nothing.

I didn't get my app in until mid January so I'll most likely be waiting until the end of February, early March, right? The wait sucks.

I was reading last cycle's USD thread and those that submitted in January waited all the way until May, so I'm not going to get my hopes up for a quicker response than that.Stinger97 wrote:I didn't get my app in until mid January so I'll most likely be waiting until the end of February, early March, right? Re: University of San Diego 2015
My friend submitted a day after me and already received her admit!
Submitted: 1/4, complete 1/18, decision 1/23.
Can't tell you how jealous I am... I'm rationalizing it as it's cause she's a Mexican URM. We have VERY similar numbers. Her softs are stronger though...

Got a 7,500 a year scholarship, no stipulations. It isn't much compared to the cost but at least I know they want me a little now. I filled out no FAFSA as of yet.

Thanks, but I am not the gambling kind.
Will be withdrawing in the next 2 weeks.

Re: University of San Diego 2015
I visited the campus for a tour and class visit this week and enjoyed it. The Spanish Mission style of the campus is beautiful and coming from a public university you can really see the private school difference just walking around. The inside of the law building is dated but does the job. I sat in on a Torts class and called my dad later to tell him about my visit to the school as he's a USD Law alum and he'd had that same professor for torts back in the day which I thought was funny. Anyway, my general feeling was the law school felt more like college than the other law schools I've visited. That was just the vibe I got compared to Loyola, UCI, and USC which seemed to have more of a professional vibe. Not a bad thing either way but that was just my observation.
I really liked the school and could definitely see myself there as San Diego is a fun city but I've got some higher ranked schools to choose from so we'll see. Good luck to all still waiting!

+1 I believe mine was for the first year only, however....any idea how flexible they are in terms of negotiating this?buddyluv545 wrote:Got a 7,500 a year scholarship, no stipulations. It isn't much compared to the cost but at least I know they want me a little now. I filled out no FAFSA as of yet.
