And if I do have to personally withdraw, what email do I send it to?

Are there any posters who are considering going to miami at sticker? If so, would you share your reasons for doing so? I'm a similar situation and am trying to look at the situation from ALL angles. I know that there will be MANY on here who will just disagree with going and I do appreciate the input; however, I would like to hear reasons for attending and not reasons for not attending. Thanks!

If youre looking into public interest or environmental, then they have some great programs. When I was considering Miami, the dual degree/concentrations that are specific to the area like ocean and coastal law were a huge draw for me.

I never personally withdrew... I just didn't pay my deposit, and I got an update last night saying I had been withdrawn. So you don't have to do anything!

Good luck to all of you waiting to hear back.

Has anyone heard anything about movement from the wait-list? Is e-mailing them and asking a bad idea?

About all you can do man is send a LOCI and any relevant resume/transcript updates that you may have... Other than that, not much else you can do but wait

Why would anyone want to be accepted to that dirty excuse for a city? And no, Coral Gables doesn't get an out, you still have to drive through Miami to get there.

LOL are you talking about driving through downtown when you refer to "driving through Miami?" You clearly know nothing about Miami. If you live in Coral Gables you in no way drive anywhere near downtown Miami. Coral Gables is pretty exclusive and expensive, especially if on the water, not that law students would be living there, but the Coral Gables area in general is extremely well-kept and not "dirty."

I live in the Gables, which keeps me away from driving through that part of the area where you would likely preside. I don't understand your purpose for coming in the thread? To rub salt in your wound because you can't afford to go to UM?

I have withdrawn already, but Gables, and Miami for that matter, are the shit. I just try to stay away from Hialeah lol.

Having been waitlisted at UF, Im regretting withdrawing from both admittance and Miami Scholars. Too bad you cant call and tell them that youve changed your mind.

Did you formally withdraw? Or just didn't send the deposit? I read somewhere that if the deposit wasn't sent the seats were still first come first serve

Call them, tell them you have had some problems in the past few weeks and you missed the deadline but are still interested. See you in the fall.

I think I might, it just depends if theyve already awarded all of the Miami Scholars money because sticker is way too high for me considering FSU is my other option. Hopefully it turns out well with Miami.
