90% sure I'll be there in the fall as well. Just waiting to see if I get some sort of financial aid, and also visiting next Friday. Anyone else going?

There have been a lot of tours recently. I wish I could point you guys out and call you gunners, but I don't know what you look like.

I'll be taking a tour tomorrow and sitting in on a Criminal Law class. Anyone ever had or heard of an admin office giving someone a decision on a tour/visit? I'm an ED rollover and have been complete since early Nov. Sent in a LOCI a few weeks back and scheduled this visit. No movement at all since being bumped to regular admissions in early Dec.shock259 wrote:There have been a lot of tours recently. I don't know, but my scholarship (full first year, 10k next two years) is payable upon matriculation, which I guess means that should I graduate from CU I will get the money at that point, and not before. Which is pretty much going to keep me from going to CU, as I applied there specifically for a scholarship and do not want to take out that much in loans even if it will be paid back. But that might be a reason that people don't transfer.alphorn wrote:
Lastly, are there so few transfers out b/c everybody wants to stay or b/c the administration discourages transferring? Is Colorado one of those schools from which the horror stories originate (i.e. profs are unwilling to write recs, etc.)?

Um, what? That's not what matriculation means?lorikeethappenstance wrote:I don't know, but my scholarship (full first year, 10k next two years) is payable upon matriculation, which I guess means that should I graduate from CU I will get the money at that point, and not before. If this is not a troll, I'm surprised the poster scored high enough on the LSAT to get in to CU.
matriculation ≠ graduation

To anyone who got in off the WL: did you see an update to your status checker, or were you simply surprised via snail mail?

Re: CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
FYI, I visited yesterday - first, to the earlier discussion of unfriendly admissions staff, I have to say they were very friendly in person (though most folks are) and again, I've been polite/non-pushy with them and they've been polite and nice with me.
For my fellow ED applicants rolled into regular admissions, the only answer I could get from the office was that they just mailed those letters. I was suspicious as my status update wasn't updated, but low and behold, this morning the status checker is updated, back-dated to 3/2, decision made and mailed. Fingers crossed! Good luck!

I'm new here. Like many of you, my application status changed on March 2nd and stated, "Decision Rendered. Decision Mailed on March 2nd." Just letting you know that I got my letter today and I'm from Austin, Texas. So maybe those of you out of state will have the same luck on a speedy letter!
I got in by the way! It was so deceiving. It was a regular letter size and very thin. I was certain it was a rejection or waitlist.
PM for numbers. Good Luck to all of you!

Thanks! no law school for me right now. CU was my top choice. I only applied to 3 schools and was rejected all around. So it looks like a master's program for me now. maybe I'll reapply after that.
I'm sure you'll get in. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

One of the biggest advantages of CU is being able to take a much needed break from the books and enjoy some delicious beer from Avery. I. Can't. Wait.PizzaShrapnel wrote:favorite beer right there hahamiy wrote:Grats again JMG!

Got my letter from the 3/2 mailing, a wait-list of all things. I figured this late in the game they'd either admit or reject. I guess the wait continues Going to visit the 2nd choice next week, we'll see what happens there. I will definitely stay on CU's wait-list through June, if that's what it takes. By then I will have to pull the trigger seeing as the Mrs. will need to start looking for work and we'll have to organize a move and it would be important to know where we're going!

I'm hoping relatively casual. I'm thinking khakis and a button down.zapcaz wrote:Thoughts on attire for the open house tomorrow?

I think any form of business casual is fine. I wouldn't wear jeans with holes in them and I wouldn't wear a suit. Nice jeans, khakis, or slacks would be good with a button down - at least thats what I'm thinking and planning.coldshoulder wrote:I'm hoping relatively casual. I indulged tonight in some of the finest Boulder has to offer. I have to say, I was impressed.JMGuevara12 wrote:One of the biggest advantages of CU is being able to take a much needed break from the books and enjoy some delicious beer from Avery. I. Can't.
