CU-Boulder Applicants Class of 2015
Anyone else applying to CU? I submitted my app over a month ago and I still haven't gotten a status checker e-mail. I called and they said my app was complete though.
Good luck

Did you ask for one? I managed to finesse my way into a waiver.chem wrote:Applied last week, also no fee waiver

CU is supposedly the least communicative about app status unless you contact them directly.
Applied a while ago. Big reach for me. Fingers crossed.

Ya know, I realize there are alot of other schools in awesome places, but I really don't think there is another location that I would rather go to school. Boulder is awesome. I have moved around a lot with the military (am currently in CO Springs) so I have spent a good deal of time all over the country. You just can't beat CO. Especially if you are active. Prime example being the Boulder Bolder, which ends at the stadium in CU. I ran it this year with 40k other people. The place just has such an awesome feel to it.

Sent mine in a few days ago. Heard nothing so far.
Colorado is my next choice of state to be in after Texas. I would positively love to go to school and eventually work in CO. Especially since there's some really nice motorcycle trails near CU-Boulder.

Sent in a few days ago. Boulder is simply amazing. It will be a while before I receive anything though (December LSAT score needed). But, hopefully the new score will guarantee I get in and qualify me for some good money. I went all out with the app, and actually used a professor who received his PhD from CU to write one of my letters (I worked for him as a TA, and took graduate classes with him). Plus, I have some cousins who live around the Denver Metro, including Boulder.
I love the area and would love to spend the rest of my life in Colorado. So, CU is number one unless something changes.

I solicited a fee waiver today, but haven't gotten the code yet. They said it would be forthcoming, but law schools haven't exactly been staying in touch with me lately.

And I did a ride from SF to COS and it was awesome. Flew in to san fran, rented our bikes, headed North up to Oregon, then cut through Idaho, montano, then down through wyoming, back to co springs. There is nowhere better to ride than the mountain west. You can do the whole thing off the highway

Hey, the north side of Texas is really nice. (Hence SMU being my top choice, even over UT.)EMZE wrote:Texas?? Yuck...

Sorry, but I will have to disagree with you on that one.Stevoman wrote:Hey, the north side of Texas is really nice. (Hence SMU being my top choice, even over UT.)EMZE wrote:Texas?? Yuck...
Austin > Dallas
SMU is in a nice place, but Austin is a much better destination. I would compare Austin to Boulder, with Boulder gaining the nod in terms of outdoor activity (obviously) and the slightly better weather (no humidity).

Applied 10/1, just got my first email from them:

We are expecting to have the Applicant Online Status Page available to you by November 11, 2011. You will receive a follow up email from our admissions office with your login information once the site becomes available. We appreciate your patience."

I just got that too just now. I wonder how long it will take to hear a decision now.un-vordox wrote:Applied 10/1, just got my first email from them:

Just got this as well. Also applied on October 1st. UC Boulder is high on my list but they have lagged way behind other schools in terms of keeping in touch. I'm really excited to visit the campus when I hopefully obtain my acceptance. Best of luck to everyone!un-vordox wrote:Applied 10/1, just got my first email from them:
