Applied 10/29 complete 10/31
Anyone know what the turn around looks like?
Also, USC is private so residency has no weight, right? I'm from NJ...

Does anyone know if USC grants merit-based fee waivers to candidates who are above just ONE of their medians and not both?

Yes they do, I'm 3.74--159 and they granted me one. But I'm also an AA male so I guess that factors into it.

I just called them and they said they don't grant merit-based fee waivers for applicants that don't meet BOTH the criteria.. I have a 169/3.4 so ehhChampion wrote:Yes they do, I'm 3.74--159 and they granted me one. But I'm also an AA male so I guess that factors into it.

I'm below their GPA median but I got a merit waiver through CRS. I have heard that to successfully solicit one you do have to be over both medians though.Schang1 wrote:I just called them and they said they don't grant merit-based fee waivers for applicants that don't meet BOTH the criteria.. Same here -- below GPA median but no fee waiver . Thanks for the input.No13baby wrote:I'm below their GPA median but I got a merit waiver through CRS. USC does have a status checker. You might be thinking of UCLA. Trojans/Bruins wouldn't appreciate mistaking one for the other.msblaw89 wrote:I hate how they don't have an online status checker.....and they have to mail decisions eww

USC does have a status checker, but I assume you won't be able to find out the decision through it.

That's exactly what the UCLA response looks like but the USC one should have been a status checker. So weird!Ti1Her0 wrote:USC does have a status checker, but I assume you won't be able to find out the decision through it.

Re: USC c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Maybe I'm missing something here but UCLA does say they will inform you via email and most people receive a call from the dean when they're accepted. So.. isn't that the complete opposite of USC's policy?lrslayer wrote:That's exactly what the UCLA response looks like but the USC one should have been a status checker. brace yourselves, kids. USC is extremely slow.... got my acceptance last year in mid-march despite turning my app in early and being an auto-admit.T00L wrote:complete. I don't think there will be much action here til december.Buffer1212 wrote:Anyone in review yet or still at complete?

seriously? that's obscene, jesus. you could get in off a waitlist before getting admitted to USC.glitter178 wrote:brace yourselves, kids.
