Re: Moving/parking violations
When disclosing moving violations, would having 2 speeding tickets and one other moving violation (improper changing lanes or something) have any negative impact on an app? Or just good that it was disclosed and that's the end of it? Speeding tickets about 3 or so years apart, moving violation another year after the 2nd speeding ticket

Traffic tickets are very common. Unless you have a DUI or something, not going to be a big deal. Just diclose in an addendum (if they ask you to.)

It's not going to matter anyway, unless you have a ton of them and are obvioulsy reckless. Or if you don't disclose something they explicity ask for.1. Read school's instructions.
2. Follow school's instructions exactly as written.
3. When in doubt, disclose.

Re: Moving/parking violations
i just went through my apps. columbia, harvard, michigan and georgetown specifically exclude driving violations but nyu and penn do not. has anyone heard from these 2 schools specifically about this?

Re: Moving/parking violations
Each school has specific requirements. If you did the same thing on all your apps then you probably made a mistake. Therefore, the poll is unanswerable.

nyu replied and said most students err on the side of caution and you can email them an addendum

Re: Moving/parking violations
it doesn't matter and won't affect your application in any way. i disclosed my speeding ticket to all schools except those that said not to.

Re: Moving/parking violations
Check and see if the moving violations are misdemeanors in your state. Sometimes they are. If they are, you should report them.
