Drop a line telling them you have Maryland as your #1 and would deposit immediately upon hearing of acceptance. Just my .02.Jsa725 wrote:+1... should I send letter expressing more interest? I'm shocked that some of you are on the waitlist with those numbers. Did most of you apply late or something?

They emailed me to call them about financial considerations and gave me a scholarship but it's still not enough, unfortunately. Good luck everybody.

I got this email too. Is it worth the call? I kind of already made up my mind I wasn't that interested in Maryland any more, but who knows. I find it a little frustrating that they don't spell out what they have to say in the email. Some of us are busy pretending to work this afternoon!neeko wrote:They emailed me to call them about financial considerations and gave me a scholarship but it's still not enough, unfortunately. It's quick and she is nice. I'd say it's worth it.B986 wrote:I got this email too. Is it worth the call? I think a lot is going to depend on the scholarships. I phoned the admissions office who advised if I wanted to have a decision on the Leadership Scholarship I should send a letter to the Scholarship Committee asking them for an expedited decision.pret wrote:Congratulations!abbottsbar wrote:In via email.

I am noticing that on LSN there are a lot of splitters being accepted. (162 and 2.5 GPA)
Anybody think they'll consider taking those off the waitlist with higher GPAs and lower LSAT scores?

I hope so because I am a reverse splitter! But it does look like all the people that are being accepted off the waitlist have been splitters with higher lsat scores and lower gpas.legalybrunette wrote:I am noticing that on LSN there are a lot of splitters being accepted. (162 and 2.5 GPA)

Alas, the application deadline is finally here which means no more new applicants! Hopefully MD starts pulling people off the waitlist in droves because I can't wait much longer.

Unfortunately for the reverse splitters, if you look at the reports that have came out in regards to the application declines, it looks like decline in applicants goes up along with score. I believe, and don't quote me on this, that the report generated by ATL showed the biggest decline to be those between 170-174. I'm guessing in order to keep the medians for LSAT, more and more schools are willing to accept splitters.Mandi wrote:I hope so because I am a reverse splitter! Either way, best of luck. Unless I get some considerable aid I'll be withdrawing soon.

I am a 2.7/162. So I am really surprised I got admitted. I am definitely going to go though, but still very surprised.

As a 2.5 164 I was also surprised to get accepted but LSAT's really are very important to the schools.

Has anyone visited the school yet? I am excited to go visit and see what it is like. Any impressions people would like to share?
