I'm 100% envious of you right now but thanks for sharing the info with us!dman12 wrote:Welp that man on LSN is me. I got the phone call this AM. I sent multiple LOCI with extra recommendations from a current and former graduate of the school. I also spoke with a teacher from a clinic that I was really excited about and made another visit to the school just to express my interest. I guess it all paid off. Super excited and relieved. See you all in the fall.

Seems they are making transfers go to the first year orientation for the first day or so, will be boring as hell but maybe I'll just pretend I'm a first year too.

Wow congrats man! I definitely didn't think anyone was getting in off the part-time waitlist! Hopefully you're not the last!dman12 wrote:Welp that man on LSN is me. I got the phone call this AM. Hello,
I was admitted into the full-time program in June after being taken off the wait list. However, I have just been taken off the wait list at another higher ranked school with a scholarship (University of Illinois). I will be withdrawing tomorrow. Good luck to those on the wait list!

Higher ranked...for now. They had a bit of a problem with their numbers this past month. Looks like LSAC and ABA are investigating.sobo2012 wrote:Congrats!Mexican22 wrote:Hello,

I already knew about this, however, they were giving me money and their cost of living is much cheaper.h2oplyer7 wrote:Higher ranked...for now. They had a bit of a problem with their numbers this past month. Looks like LSAC and ABA are investigating.sobo2012 wrote:Congrats!Mexican22 wrote:Hello,

I should say I am not an expert in what is happening. I read on ATL that they fudged their admissions numbers and they might suffer in the rankings as Villanova did for fudging theirs.

Oh I think the worst of this has already passed, hence U of I's drop from low 20's to the mid 30's in one year. I doubt they'll go much further down than that, but who knows.h2oplyer7 wrote:I should say I am not an expert in what is happening. Have any part-time waitlisters called the office of admissions recently?

Apparently the area around UMB is even more ghetto than Philly.
Everything in the law building seems claustrophobic...especially the admissions office.

Observation accurate, but I suppose all law schools ranked around Maryland's #39 have their drawbacks.Intranetusa wrote:Apparently the area around UMB is even more ghetto than Philly.

I didn't really get that vibe when I was there, I thought the building was pretty nice.Intranetusa wrote:Apparently the area around UMB is even more ghetto than Philly.

Yup, called them today. They are not releasing the waitlist (this goes for the full-time and part-time lists) at this time which tells me that they still expect slots to open up over the next week or so.
Keep the faith!

It also interesting to see all the movement on the Georgetown and GW waitlists over the past week or so...sobo2012 wrote:ama004 wrote:Have any part-time waitlisters called the office of admissions recently?

if any of you guys have Gifford for torts, lemme know. I have the torts casebook that's entirely tabbed and perfectly highlighted/briefed for each and every single case he does. I got it from an upperclassman for $60 and I'm willing to let it go for exactly that price, which seems like a steal from the other prices I'm looking online.
FWIW: We both got A's in the class.
