Uh... Dresses... with... sweaters? It was kinda chilly out that day, so what I noticed the most was the dress/cardigan(the small sweater thing is a cardigan, right?) combo.

I noticed one girl wearing very white denim-ish pants and I remember thinking something along the lines of it being too early in the year for white pants.

This may seam trivial, but when you went to the ASD, what were most poeple wearing?

I know it says business Casual but that can mean different things to different people.

just got waitlisted..... totally in shock; i was really interested in UNC coz of their public interest focus. i'm OOS but tailored my essay to UNC, applied early and am above both 75ths (and i'm a legacy, but i don't know if that makes any sort of difference for law school like it does for undergrad). :/

Waitlisted via email yesterday, "Complete" since 11/29 and this is the first change of any kind. 165/3.6 OOS. Not joining the waitlist since I've already committed to W&L but at least I have an answer/no need to check for status updates

I've been app complete since 11/15/2011. I wouldn't look too far into it. It seems as if there are not too many acceptances left, and that the next batches are those waitlist decisions...but that is just speculation on my part based on the most recent posts here on this thread.

Congrats to all the admits and best of luck to all of you waiting to hear back!

just to add to the speculation...the impression I've gotten from the admissions staff is that the next two weeks will probably follow the pattern of the last two weeks with some acceptances handed out early in the week, followed by more wait lists. My guess is they will wait until the last week of April to send the rest of the decisions, aka deny's-if I recall correctly the first commit deadline is today so it would make sense to see movement next week following that deadline.

I never ran into the admitted students today--where were you guys? And where was the food that I had planned to swoop down on after you guys had finished??

We were there. Food was BBQ and outside. Really good! We were stuck in a classroom most of the day.

No, plain old accepted!

I was worried because I really needed to mail a seat deposit check to another school, so I decided to just call the admissions office. I called just after 5pm and got Dean States who told me I was going to be accepted. My status checker went "under review" the next morning and I got the email late that night.

I am really excited to be going to Carolina! Can't wait to see y'all there in the fall.
