Got the same scholly as everyone. 9k a year given a top 50% standing. Does anyone know if a majority of students keep their scholarship?

Re: Missouri Class of 2015
When I talked to Michelle yesterday, she said that scholarships are offered to less than half of incoming students. Also, just because you drop out of the top 50% doesn't mean you will lose all of it. They reevaluate them every year, but if you are in the top half you know you at least won't go down. You could potentially go up if you do well.
I like it.

35,500 scholarship in the mail today. 17,500 is an in state tuition waiver and 18K is spread over three years. Most likely withdrawing.

Congrats to all those getting their schollys. My notification for this thread apparently timed out. Oops. You will NOT see me at ASD, but I am still happy to answer any questions you may have or if you want a second opinion on something Ford tells you (but I believe we have essentially been in lockstep...despite the fact thatI have very much tried to not learn Fords true identity).

I applied over their winter break, but heard back as soon as classes started. I know a couple people, though, that applied near the same time and have not heard back.

I applied in early November and heard back in a week or a little over a week. It didn't take very long at all. Of course, that was much earlier in the cycle, so who knows if they're still processing things that quickly. I'm under the impression it varies with each applicant.

If your basing "better schools" on USNWR, you're mistaken.

I applied Jan 9th and heard back in less than a week. They will definitely get back to you faster than most schools

New to the forum (even though I've been lurking for a while). I was admitted 2 weeks ago to Mizzou. I am attending the Admitted Students reception today in St. Louis. Does anyone have any insight on how these types of events are? I've been reading around, but I wanted some information specifically for Mizzou since that's the one I'm attending today. Thanks.

I went to the reception in Kirksville, had a nice time. They had food, wine, beer (on our dry campus, which was cool). A lot of alumni came, including quite a few judges, as well as a number of current students. It was nothing too formal, just a meet and greet, but it was fun.

Oh ok that sounds cool. I actually went to Truman State for 3 years before transferring to UMSL so I know all about the dry campus thing there. Did they give you any packets of information or anything when you got there?checkster wrote:I went to the reception in Kirksville, had a nice time. Oh Cool, yeah I'm at Truman now. Nothing new really, they had some literature there but I had already gotten it either in the mail or when I went and visited. Are you seriously considering MU?

I went there from 2001-2004 so it's been a while since I've been in the 'Ville.checkster wrote:Oh Cool, yeah I'm at Truman now. Nothing new really, they had some literature there but I had already gotten it either in the mail or when I went and visited. Are you seriously considering MU?
Yeah Mizzou is right at the top for the schools that I've been accepted to right now (SLU being the other school so far). Still waiting on my long shot school (WashU), but Mizzou is the school for right now.

Re: Missouri Class of 2015
Just came from the Mizzou Admitted Students Reception. Everyone was so nice and helpful there. The admissions, current students, alumni, etc. were more than willing to talk and assist with whatever I needed. I feel Mizzou is the top school for me now. I still want to visit next month, but the people there are great.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
