They're pushing hard to up their median LSAT to 168 like WUSTL did last year. Only problem is those numbers border T14 territory and many students would rather go to a T14 or elsewhere rather than a overpriced school in an overpriced, large market.
+1
Seems that a lot of GW's median admits also get into Cornell/GULC/Vandy/Texas, etc.
^ You might be right. I've been accepted to Cornell, GULC, and Vandy. WL at Texas this morning.
Accepted at GWU yesterday via snail mail. GPA>75, LSAT >25.
Good luck to all still waiting!

Scholarship announcements are starting this month.
Any one else get the Public Interest Fellows email? LOL at using IBR to call LRAPs at other schools unimportant, but is that just the $4k summer funding/meeting with Dean Morrison? It didn't mention any scholarship in the email.

Got the snail mail acceptance today. I wasn't really expecting to hear from GW for awhile, so the letter was a pleasant surprise!

Dean Morrison is awesome btw. Slightly psychotic but cool guy.
Just realized there's another Dean Morrison. Is it Alan or Thomas?

Thanks! I was wondering if it had been sent to all admits or just people who had expressed interest in PI (which I did).

I didn't get one, and I did not express interest. I think maybe I should have.

Alan. My non-profit works with him on some policy efforts.

For those keeping score I got in via snailmail yesterday (sent 1/9ish, complete 1/19). Stats in profile, hoping for some type of scholarship.

what are people's thoughts on sending a LOCI before a decision has been reached? i know that it's customary to only do so if you have been held or waitlisted BUT GW supposedly gets back to you within 8 weeks of your application going complete and it has now been 12 (going on 13) long weeks for me. people with my exact numbers have already been rejected so there must be something about my application that is giving them pause. is it worth it or should i just wait it out like a good little girl?

I got one, and I expressed interest in PI. Since only 5 students are chosen, you'd think there would be some sort of scholarship, right?

I got waitlisted three weeks after I applied with a 3.6/167...if you've been waiting that long, hopefully it means something good for you!

that's what i keep telling myself to give myself the slightest glimmer of hope but then there are people who applied in JANUARY who are already getting accepted so i really don't know what to think anymore. that's why i'm thinking of sending a LOCI because maybe they forgot about me.

Advice really appreciated on this one -
SoCal kid, wasn't considering east coast when i was applying back in November, but got into BU/BC and have thought it over more and am willing to go east coast. I have a 163/3.7x, any point in me applying to GW at this point? my numbers would indicate that i should have been rejected/WL at best at BU, but i got in, and i think it may have smoething to do with geographic diversity.
Any point in applying to GW this late in the game? looks like they're rejecting high-160's candidates.
Thanks in advance.

Lol same. I'm sure a lot of people who applied early with good numbers have withdrawn by now, it makes sense for them to wait.

Hey guys, GW is the first school i've been accepted to. This might be a silly question, but is there anyone at the school I can call and ask what about my application appealed to them? I have over 75 percentile for both gpa and lsat, but I'm particularly curious to see if anything else on my application sparked their interest.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
