Well, nothing from GW in the mail today. Looks like I missed out on the first round of ED deferments to RD acceptances. Judging from my meager 167 LSAT, I get the feeling that the next news I get from GW won't be good. I think that last year they waited until after New Years before rejecting their ED applicants.

Anyone know when we might hear about money? Have people been getting scholarships with the admit letters or does that come later?

I didn't get anything in with my letter so I think it comes later. At least I hope so... I received money from higher ranked schools but GW's pretty high on my list because of location so I wouldn't mind a scholly coming soon from them

Maybe they are calling ED admits on/around the 15th? Which means that they need to defer/WL/ding the rest of us within the next week. I will be checking my mailbox and email psychotically...

It kind of sucks that they would wait until right until the deadline to ding someone. At least the school I applied ED to earlier in the cycle canned me quickly, so that I could move on with my application. I'm in at an equally ranked school with money, and I feel like I shouldn't negotiate scholarships until I have an answer from GW.

I kinda feel like if they were gonna ding us, they would have already. I am thinking I am in deferral/WL territory. An actual ED admit would be a lovely (but not likely) surprise.

It could be possible that people have been admitted ED already and just aren't on TLS/LSN, but I feel like at least one TLSer would've gotten it

The other side is that given the economy, more people are going for full rides than T14s....

I thought that ED might be less competitive too, but it seems like GW is rejecting or waitlisting a lot of people with good numbers this year. Also, look at Witt's numbers. He has a 170, 3.72 and he still got deferred to RD. If 170 isn't enough to make it ED, then it has to be pretty competitive this year.

i just wish they will let me know already so i can go ahead and commit somewhere else..since they don't reject ED, merely defer them to RD, if i get deferred thats a no anyway because I'm not willing to take on 70+k in debt per year. I wish it was more like UVA's early program, i didnt apply to it but they process is that you get your decision within 15 days..thats amazing.

I am dying a slow and painful GW-related death right now. I wish they would just go ahead and let me know so I could move on with my life and make travel plans to visit other schools.
