Just got accepted, my stats are in my profile. I might make it out to ASW if I get the time.

In today, too. 166/3.2. I'm going to try to go to ASD. Anybody know when it is? I didn't see it in the materials linked to the email. I've got very good friends in Houston, so it's def on my top 5 I'm considering.

Shut down for scholarship negotiation. Can't even begin to express my frustration.

I was accepted in early March and still haven't heard anything about scholarships I'm debating waiting a little longer to hear or just calling the financial aid office and asking if there's anything for me. It is a bummer though.

Same happened to me today. Extremely disappointing they wouldn't even throw a couple extra grand my way even after I told them they were my number 1 choice...mtyler19 wrote:Shut down for scholarship negotiation. Can't even begin to express my frustration.

I got wait listed? Really? Houston was my number 2 after UT when this cycle started, in fact I was still hoping to even after a hefty scholarship from Boston. But after how they've acted towards several people on this thread they are becoming less and less appealing.

Just got WLed too. This really sucks as it was my number 1 choice. Damn.

If this thread is any indication of how the overall accepted class feels about U of H and their scholarship offers I imagine there will be some movement in scholarship reallocation and waitlist over the next few months because it doesn't seem very positive at this point.

Just got accepted last week - does scholarship info come with acceptance or after? (If it's with, then I got no $ )

this might be bad advice but i would actually try to negotiate again in a few weeks. or every two weeks after you get shut down, lol. that is, only if you really, really want to go to UH though and the only thing holding you back is $$$$.
i think (speculating) scholarship money frees up now and then. like i've said in other threads, last year they were like...we've basically raised your initial scholarship by 8x, what more do you want - we are COMPLETELY out of funds for the dean's scholarship... and a week later, they weren't.
just make sure you aren't a dick about it. it feels like borderline begging sometimes but as a grizzled .75L veteran, I can tell you 90% of the incoming class lose their dignity sooner or later. i.e. right now i'd let another dude watch me jerk off for a super solid summer job but as you will hear 1000 times during 1L: "isn't it kind of a slippery slope to..."
BOLs, pm me any stupid questions

Part time here as well. Accepted 3/22 scholarship offer a few days later, same as you. Mine was only 2.5k though. Better than nothing, but I was hoping for more. Congrats on your 15k! Your LSAT scores are excellent, you deserve it!Kaylynn86 wrote:15k / yr Dean's Scholarship received. For anyone wondering about scholarships, I received email acceptance 3/23 and then this morning received scholarship info. (I applied to the part time evening division).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
