Wow. That's awesome. They upped me only $6k a year --> $10k a year. Unfortunately, there tuition is still too damn high. I'm crushed since I loved the campus. I guess I'll have to go to my second choice and just hope Portland "out of sight, out of mind" works. I'm a little heartbroken : /neeko wrote:They called and offered me $14k a year up from $0

Received the same today. I was pretty surprised, as I've heard that this doesn't happen too often at L&C.neeko wrote:They called and offered me $14k a year up from $0

Same thing here. I already know where I'm going, I love L&C but it's still just too much.

So conflicted love Portland and L&C but even with 16k/yr, tuition is still so high...

I'm honored I was admitted, especially since I'm WAY below their GPA/LSAT stats, but I just can't commit to moving across the country and spending so much money.

Oh, I'm more than willing to take out loans but factoring in cost of living plus tuition I'd end up about 120,000 in debt (and that's not factoring in interest).timeandspace11 wrote:You are not willing to take out any loans?masked kavana wrote:So conflicted love Portland and L&C but even with 16k/yr, tuition is still so high...

Understandable...I feel pretty somewhat the same way. I mean it depends on the school and legal market in the area (applying next cycle). Ive heard good things about L & C and Portland and general, but I know the school has basically regional employment prospect, and the PNW is obviously smaller market. I will definitely apply but hopefully they can throw me a bone. Where do you think you will go instead?masked kavana wrote:Oh, I'm more than willing to take out loans but factoring in cost of living plus tuition I'd end up about 120,000 in debt (and that's not factoring in interest).timeandspace11 wrote:You are not willing to take out any loans?masked kavana wrote:So conflicted love Portland and L&C but even with 16k/yr, tuition is still so high...

The PNW and L&C are def great and if money wasn't an issue I'd take L&C in a heartbeat.

Any movement on the waitlist yet?
I'm hanging tight and hoping to hear soon. L&C is definitely my top choice for their animal law program but this waiting game ... man, it sucks.
