Taken LSAT Twice (160/172) - Mexican, 3.81

Post by bjokay » Sun Oct 02, 2011 9:27 pm

I have taken the LSAT twice. The first time i received a 160, and the second time i got a 172. I have a 3.81 GPA, UC Berkeley Economics Major, and I am half mexican.

I realize that some schools average, and some schools dont, but the stats can only show so much. My question: Is there anyone out there who personally knows a person, or is a person, who has gotten into a TOP 5 school with such stats? I just want to see how rare it really is.

I don't know anyone with those numbers specifically, but from LSN:

http://yale.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... ,8&type=jd

http://stanford.lawschoolnumbers.com/ap ... ,8&type=jd

Of HYS, things look good - less so at Yale, but the first thing you'll hear on this site is how unpredictable URM cycles are. Apply widely, but it looks like you have a strong chance at ending up HYS or CCN. Good luck with your cycle!

Write a good addendum for that first score and you can go anywhere. Good luck!
