Same thing happened with me, but then I enabled pop-ups and it worked. Not entirely sure if it was the enabling pop-ups that did it, though. Maybe something crazy happened in between that I'm unaware of.

Okay, so I just got my UCLA admit packet and the scholarship they offered stipulates a minimum 2.5 GPA each semester. Is this standard policy and if so, how difficult is it to keep?

I'm not sure but I think with UCLA's curve only bottom 10% of a class will have a GPA of <2.7 so you should be fine

This is going to be a weird question, but oh well.

I was admitted to UCLA a few weeks ago, and received an email regarding an all expenses paid trip to UCLA to meet other URM students. I just received another email about it, talking about how great it will be to meet other students of color.

Now, while I am part Native Hawaiian, the rest of me is white. These were the two boxes I picked on the application. It seems like UCLA might be one of the few schools that considers Hawaiian to be a URM, which is fantastic...but I'm starting to feel a bit weird. Can I attend this in good faith? I would love a free trip to check out the school.

Are URMs the only people who are getting this "all expenses paid trip" or are non-URMs also getting it?

one of the organizations that is a part of this program is the Asian Pacific Islander student group so I'm sure that's why you qualify - and why not take advantage of the trip if you're offered it.

sup UCLA... just checking in... got my "complete" email 12/09. UCLA is one of my top few choices (and a school I think/hope I could have a shot at), so I'm getting antsy. I wish they'd hurry up already :|

I got the "all-expense paid trip" email too. But it looks like I won't be able to go, as it conflicts with Berkeley's ASW. I really all wish schools would have more than one date for these things.

Just got the WL email. Kind of happy because I was bracing myself for a ding, but wish it was an acceptance. There is still hope!
