I'm slightly above median index number and hope to hear back soon. I've already been accepted to fsu which has made me happy, but want time to decide which school I want to go to if UF let's me in.

2010-2011 UF Acceptance Data based on UGPA and LSAT scores only.
784 accepted out of 3410 applicants
Based on the formula for last year (LSAT*0.029)+(UGPA*0.282)+0.05
Acceptance rates with a ± .03 deviation, which is a lot, I know.
Lowest accepted 5.21
Acceptance rates:
5.45 and below is 2.7%
5.50 ± .004 is 5.9%
5.58 ± .004 is 10.1%
5.652 ± .004 is 20.0%
5.724 ± .002 is 37.5%
5.794 ± .002 is 58.9%
Above 5.80 is 90%
Past acceptance index numbers are not a guarantee of future acceptance.
Law school predictor is using the old formula from last year. 5.63 is their cutoff for acceptance.

I'm not really sure if this is relevant as it's based on last year's index formula. Since the formula has changed, the cutoffs could be different as well. And you certainly can't compare your index based on the new formula to these numbers. (If that were the case, I'd have a 20% chance, yet on LSN my numbers are in a sea of green).disconnected wrote:2010-2011 UF Acceptance Data based on UGPA and LSAT scores only.

I was really hoping for a status checker change today, and now thinking I might be held until spring has really given me a headache. I'm done looking at indexes!

Does anyone know if/when admitted students have to submit updated transcripts to UF Law? Will they expect us to send in new transcripts in January or something like that?

That puts my index number at 5.79864, which is ridiculously close to that 90% threshold. "File reviewed - No Decision Reached."
Maybe the admissions process is even rougher than this year. I've seen people in this thread with higher numbers than mine receive the same message. Brutal.

There's the letter, instructions for enrollment, and info about financial aid (scholarships are awarded later in the cycle). Also a federal student aid booklet which is rather useful.seancris wrote:Awesome! I can't wait to get back to Gainesville, visiting family out of town until Sunday. What is the rough timeline between these events for people who have heard back from Florida so far?seancris wrote:So far the process has been "all rec docs received" > "under initial review" > "file revieded- no decision reached."
Mine went from All Rec Docs Received to Under Initial Review in 2 days. Haven't reached the next step in the process yet, but it's only been a few more days, just curious as to when I could potentially expect to see a status change again.

In via the acceptance packet too, which was really unexpected because after submitting my application I decided not to apply and didn't pay the application fee but I guess they gave me a retroactive fee waiver.

Re: U. of Florida c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Initial review > no decision reached was about a week for me. No decision reached > notice issued was about another week and a half, I think. This is probably not a typical timeline since I applied relatively early and had strong numbers. Applicants with lower numbers might be waiting months rather than weeks.mcr2011 wrote:What is the rough timeline between these events for people who have heard back from Florida so far?seancris wrote:So far the process has been "all rec docs received" > "under initial review" > "file revieded- no decision reached."

Congrats on the admit. If you've decided not to attend, think about letting UF know so that they can open the space for others.username08 wrote:In via the acceptance packet too, which was really unexpected because after submitting my application I decided not to apply and didn't pay the application fee but I guess they gave me a retroactive fee waiver.

I've been reading this thread since I submitted my application and it still says no decision reached.
Does anyone know when they will do another round of their rolling admissions? I'm freaking out and was hoping to know if I got in by Christmas break but that doesn't look likely anymore.

Not sure why you're freaking out or why acceptance before Christmas seems unlikely. They're almost definitely going to continue to send letters every week until the staff is off for another break. They just haven't sent any letters since the beginning of this week because the school has been closed since Thursday.
I wouldn't check my status on weekends or holidays, but other than that they seem to be consistently sending letters/updating statuses.

For me: File reviewed, no decision reached.
It is looking pretty tough to get in here this year, looks like they aren't playing around. I say this because from what I remember, at around this exact time last year, people with the equivalent of a 162 and 3.6 had already been accepted to UF. Do not quote me on that though. I might be wrong. Let's hope for the best.

It is still early, very early. I would guess that persons with scores above or equal to LSAT 167 and GPA 3.7 are getting in this early.

All data is based upon last year's applications.
The first round of letters: Last two weeks of November, all acceptances.
The second round of letters: Last week of January, all acceptances.
The third round of letters: Middle of February, nearly all acceptances.
The fourth round of letters: Beginning of March, nearly all rejections.
The fifth round of letters: Middle of April, wait listed.
I hope you don't get tired of my analysis.

5.800 index and higher is accepted among 35 applications.
A 5.799 did NOT get accepted.
There seems to be a hard floor of 163 so far.
