I contacted Admissions and they said this was missing from my file and that this is what has been holding up the processing of my app. I hadn't completed this form because I'm not an IN resident and the app checklist had said it was optional; but I guess it's not optional after all. So, basically I just had to submit a page with my name, ethnicity information, permanent address, and signature to get bumped into the review queue. Seems pretty silly.

What in review date is everyone sitting at?
For those that were accepted, what happened with your status checker?

+1 and then some...after getting nothing but silence for 3 months from them, I just got an email requesting additional info about moving violations (I think someone else mentioned this earlier too). If a couple speeding tickets keep me out I don't want to be there anyway.omninode wrote:YankeeFan2 wrote:+1ColtsFan88 wrote:LOL, good thing you reached out to them. My review date seemed to be kind of random, but when I got accepted my status checker said 'decision mailed' and had the date and 'admit packet' sent under mailings.BearsGrl wrote:What in review date is everyone sitting at?

Anyone else get a nice handwritten note? It sort of makes up for the long delay!

I submitted 11/9 and still haven't gone under review. Anyone else in a similar situation?

I received a handwritten notes as well. I'm still not sure if it makes up for the horrible admissions process.northside wrote:Anyone else get a nice handwritten note? It sort of makes up for the long delay!

Re: IU - Bloomington Class of 2015
Unless you have auto-admit numbers, I think this is a fair assumption for all of the schools this cycle. I wasn't put into review until I sent an email asking if everything on my application was ok to move forward. I don't know if that did it (I sincerely was asking if everything was ok and not trying to push the process - haha) but I went into review recently too. That doesn't mean I expect an acceptance but at least I know it's moving along, whether pro or con.btw384 wrote:I submitted 11/1 and just went into review yesterday. Which e-mail did you send it to? Compton's specific e-mail address or the general admissions e-mail? I sent an e-mail off about two weeks ago on a related topic, but have yet to hear from them.iowalum wrote:I sent my scholly negotiation letter last night and got a note from Compton this morning saying he sent it to the Adcomm. I sent it to both. Did you hear anything back from Compton? Hopefully the Adcomm will get back to me in a reasonable manner, but it's not nearly as stressful as waiting on admission. How much did you get originally/do you have other offers?7ate9 wrote:Which e-mail did you send it to? Compton's specific e-mail address or the general admissions e-mail? I sent it only to Compton. It did not have to deal with the scholarship package's amount, more so with the distribution of the scholarship (sorry for the vagueness).iowalum wrote:

Accepted via email w/ $30k scholarship (total), no stips. I'm very happy to get in (!), but I was hoping for more money since I am above one 75% and above the other median. I'm curious to see how other TLSer's negotiations go.

First of all, congrats!btw384 wrote:Accepted via email w/ $30k scholarship (total), no stips. I'm very happy to get in (!), but I was hoping for more money since I am above one 75% and above the other median. I'm curious to see how other TLSer's negotiations go.
Secondly, aren't a 164/3.6? That's below both medians from last year. You may be using the class of 2013 as your point of reference. Class of 2014 was 166/3.75 medians.

173/3.23, in with 30K. Will be withdrawing. I mainly applied due to the huge 120K that a lot of people got last year.

I used the numbers on LSAC, which must be the class of 2013 numbers. But thank you!

This makes no sense - The Residency Affidavit is optional. I'm in-state, but don't recall submitting one. Not cool.B986 wrote:FYI, if anyone is still stuck at "File Being Processed" check to see if you submitted the Residency Affidavit.
