Strange Question here: Has anyone had "complete" as their status, or has it always just been "completed?" I'm wondering if the "ed" matters or if I am just crazy anxious

I have always had Application Completed and I was accepted. So if it means anything at all, which it probably doesn't, it's good.

Just got my acceptance letter! Nice handwritten blurb at the end as well.

FWIW, I submitted 10/7, complete 10/14 and 10/26 and 11/1. Letter postmarked 11/4. No change to status checker and no e-mail.

Are they late on some early decision decisions? Just wondering because I notice on LSN that all is green--no denies or waitlists... however, GULC says they'll let you know a decision within 3 weeks if you apply ED.

GULC is notoriously stingy with scholarship money, unfortunately.

Applied PT as well... URM traditional splitter. I believe my status checker changed once as well. 10/25. I initially went complete on 10/20.

I take it as their way of saying that although my app is complete, it's still not under review.

Yeah, it probably updates the date every so often when they do system updates.

I think the date changes may actually indicate that the application is moving through the review process. I don't think the Georgetown status checker has an "under review" status, and I believe that everyone that's been accepted so far has had their "complete" dates change.

Moreover, it doesn't seem like everyone's dates change at the same time, so I don't think that they're just system updates. For instance, I have not received a decision yet and my status is currently at 11/7 (whereas it's 11/10 for others).

But who knows, really?

I have no idea what changes on the status date mean. Do they signify (...I may have made that word up) simply that they're looking at your app, or more likely to accept it?

I looked at the word signify and first thought "OF COURSE THAT'S A WORD"

Then I looked again and thought "yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a word"

then a third time and thought "I think that's a word"

then a fourth time and thought ".............. is it a word?"

ETA: In regards to the actual substance of your question, I wouldn't read into it too much. Just keep an eye on your mail. You'll get a packet or you won't.
