*EDIT* pretty big smile on my face considering at least one person on TLS told me I wouldn't get in. My numbers are around median.
Congrats Sandwhiches! They didn't give you an email? you must have been in that group that got accepted on 11/22, but obviously being so far away just got it. Super jelly, but I updated 11/21 for the second time as well...
I have faith in you!!! 11/21 was lucky for me so I feel like it's gotta bring good news to others as well. I was notified via e-mail *this morning (USA time.)* It was night time where I am.
Strange but awesome. I haven't heard of any other emails today in the U.S., so maybe fingers crossed??

I submitted around late Sept/early Oct (can't remember the exact date), and I've been stuck at 'complete' since 11/8....should I be concerned/contact them or anything?

Yeah! If it's alphabetical in any sense I would be towards the top, if that's any solace for you 11/21ers.MiamiOxford wrote:

Re: Cornell c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Congratulations!!
I have a question. Could you tell me how long it would take for them to verify my materials? I submitted about two weeks ago and the status has been "verifying materials for completion" since then. Should I be worried?

Don't worry. The turnaround after my completion time was a month.rachelwang712 wrote:Congratulations!!

That makes me feel slightly better....just slightly puzzled, considering I applied pretty early and everything. when did you apply, if you don't mind my asking?Killingly wrote:Nah, I bunch of us are still stuck at an even earlier date.avemundi wrote:I submitted around late Sept/early Oct (can't remember the exact date), and I've been stuck at 'complete' since 11/8....should I be concerned/contact them or anything?

Sent 10/29, complete 11/03. I think there are at least 5 of us reporting that date. I've heard of other 11/08ers too.avemundi wrote:That makes me feel slightly better....just slightly puzzled, considering I applied pretty early and everything. when did you apply, if you don't mind my asking?Killingly wrote:Nah, I bunch of us are still stuck at an even earlier date.avemundi wrote:I submitted around late Sept/early Oct (can't remember the exact date), and I've been stuck at 'complete' since 11/8....should I be concerned/contact them or anything?

Still at 11/3 as well. At/above both 75ths, soo please no one start speculating that still at 11/3 completion date --> auto-reject
.
Glad to hear there is FINALLY movement from Cornell, though!!

Yeah sand's acceptance makes me think us 11/3ers will hear within the next week or so.Killingly wrote: Sent 10/29, complete 11/03. I think there are at least 5 of us reporting that date. I've heard of other 11/08ers too.

Argghh......wonder what's holding them up....i mean hello, what's the point of submitting an app early on!!!!Killingly wrote:

but seriously, i thought they were reviewed in the order they came in? if people who submitted in late oct are hearing back, what gives, Cornell?

+1 I'm also part of the "sent 10/29 and stuck on 11/03" group. Hang in there guys, at least with Cornell's EA the turnaround is still reasonably fast. Whatever happens, we'll know something before Christmas and that's a lot more than can be said for many other schools.Killingly wrote:Sent 10/29, complete 11/03. i'd like to, but..i mean, there doesn't seem to be anyone else in my shoes really (considering most of the 11/03 ppl seem to have submitted around late Oct), so gaaaahhhhhhralph_pootawn wrote:calm down broavemundi wrote:Argghh......wonder what's holding them up....i mean hello, what's the point of submitting an app early on!!!!Killingly wrote:

Eh, there are plenty late Sept/early Oct submits that haven't gotten a decision. You'll hear in December like most of us.avemundi wrote:

When you're comparing dates, it's important to remember, I think, that it's not like admissions office are hyper-efficient machines. Just because two files come into the office on the same day doesn't mean they perfectly follow the same route. It could have sat on someone's desk for a while. Someone could have been sick. It might have been printed out later than someone else's. Just because law school admissions are ultimately more predictable than undergrad doesn't mean there isn't still a human element to it.
