I emailed NU financial aid, and I got the response that they are planning to distribute financial aid info "to those students who will be receiving it" by the end of this week. I don't know if this info is anywhere in the thread, but at least it put my mind at ease that I will have all the numbers I need before it is time to make a deposit.

Gonna be a long week, anticipating something that is likely never to arrive.

Edit: Realized this wasn't the admitted students thread. Good luck to y'all who are still waiting!

Dean just sent out an email pledging to limit tuition raising to 3%. So at the most you'll be paying the low low price of $53,168.60 for your 1L year.

New employment statistics (for Class of 2011) up via Johann's twitter:
http://www.law.northwestern.edu/career/statistics/
69.2% employed at law firms. :/
78.9% if you include clerkships.

Any idea if the JD/MBAs make the overall stats worse or better?bk187 wrote:I wish they wouldn't lump the JDMBA's in with the JD's.JDizzle2015 wrote:New employment statistics (for Class of 2011) up via Johann's twitter:

They probably make up most of the people in the business category, no? Thus, their inclusion would skew the numbers downward in terms of clerkship/biglaw placement.rinkrat19 wrote:Any idea if the JD/MBAs make the overall stats worse or better?bk187 wrote:I wish they wouldn't lump the JDMBA's in with the JD's.JDizzle2015 wrote:New employment statistics (for Class of 2011) up via Johann's twitter:

My guess: they make the overall employment picture rosier (less likely to be funemployed, less likely to have PT/temp job, more likely to have a high salary, etc), but they skew the law-specific stats down (less likely to be in JD required job, less likely to be in biglaw/clerkship, more likely to be in business, etc).Samara wrote:They probably make up most of the people in the business category, no? Looking at the data, I'd assume that (as Samara points out) they make up the bulk of the business category as well as the bulk of the "JD Advantage" category.

This addresses the situation in a meaningful way? Pretty insulting in my opinion.Flips88 wrote:Dean just sent out an email pledging to limit tuition raising to 3%. So at the most you'll be paying the low low price of $53,168.60 for your 1L year.
