It's gotta be NU- having it be non-obvious yet still logical weeds out the riffraff who aren't really in the know.

Recent undergrad here, and it's definitely NU. (For those of you that go to games, and you totally should, it's Go U! NU!)

I don't think a new law school dean is going to be able to overrule an entire Big Ten university.

I've always thought NW would make more sense than NU.

North
Western is one word, so it's weird.

As a Pacific northwesterner (PNWer), NU has always seemed a little odd. But I've gotten used to it.

Notice it's only multiplying the NW options. It's trying to tell you something.

Meh, it's not like the abbreviations are even consistent. There's the A in UVA, while it's UPenn and not UPA. WUSTL takes the first letter from each word but for some reason uses the abbreviation for saint.
I think we should try to get either UVirg or UPA to catch on. No?

Also I'm fairly sure that regardless of what you vote for, it puts a vote in for all 3 of the top entries...
...what a useless POS
Sorry guys!

Yeah, but STL is the commonly accepted abbreviation for St. Louis and UV just sounds weird. NW, however, sounds totally normal because that's how directions work. Plus, it makes NW look more special my not having a U in its abbreviation.

My undergrad recently changed the athletics logo from OSU to OS, ostensibly to avoid confusion with the other OSUs. But of course we don't call it OS, because that's retarded. The football chant still goes "OHHHHH! ESSSSS! YOUUUUU! O-S-U! Fight fight fight!"

I think UVirg has a better chance of catching on than UPA.

What is this, a consensus that works and makes sense? What is this nonsense?

Feels like I'd be calling the person I'm talking to a virgin if I said it out loud. Like the kind of insult an airheaded 13-year old girl would use.
"Oh Em Gee U Virg!"

Not a consensus! It looks weirder than both the 2-letter options.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
