Re: Northwestern Applicants '11-'12 (NOW WITH AWESOME POLL)
Had the dean of admissions from a local TT come speak to my pre-law class, and he said he and another TT had seen an increase in applications too. Maybe people are just spreading out more? IDK. But if what you guys are saying is true, you shouldn't even be freaking out yet. Plenty of time.

Re: Northwestern Applicants '11-'12 (NOW WITH AWESOME POLL)
For some reason, I thought December 3 meant "third week of December." I swear I read that somewhere. Could be wrong though.crumpetsandtea wrote:Technically the graph on the OP says they started coming out after Dec 3, but clearly it's going to be later this year. I'm not sure why...maybe higher # of applicants? IDK. All I know is the one admiss office member I spoke to said that they wouldn't even begin looking at applications until December 1st, so it might be a whillllleeUnamSanctam wrote:That said, where in the hell are all the NU responses? Do we expect them next week or the week after? I don't remember NU's graph from last year and I'm too lazy to look.

I'm referencing this graph:dakure wrote:For some reason, I thought December 3 meant "third week of December." I swear I read that somewhere. Could be wrong though.
But I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't hear anything until late December this year.

I know which graph you're referencing. What i'm saying it the dates on that graph don't refer to calendar days. they refer to the week in that respective month, or at least, thats what was said in a couple threads this year.crumpetsandtea wrote:I'm referencing this graph:dakure wrote:For some reason, I thought December 3 meant "third week of December." Yup. Check out how that x axis is labeled! It's month and week, not day. So that's the third week of December, which would be next week.dakure wrote:I know which graph you're referencing. darkwings wrote:I'm pretty sure I read on his google plus thing (or whatever it's called. Sorry I'm behind on the times) that they were still expecting to take splitters. If anyone could find this quote, I'd appreciate it - I'm on my work comp and don't have access to it right now. But I'm hoping that us splitters still have a chance for ED... Now that could all change if they got way more applicants than expected though...
Lots of Q's about "criteria". As I stated above, I do not anticipate a change in criteria. We are still looking for applicants with strong academic credentials (LSAT or GPA). We are also still looking for interpersonal skills, work experience, and all our traditional soft factors. In contemplating the new program, we ran a bunch of possible scenarios/projections regarding the applicant pool. Bottom line, we are going into the cycle planning on accepting "splitters" (both forward and reverse) under the ED plan. If you have further questions, I am here to answer them. I need to go pick up my kids from daycare before I scar them and have them incur therapy for years.

Ohh, gotcha. Totally have never looked at the x or y axis labels before. Guess we all know how I bombed Stats nowdakure wrote:I know which graph you're referencing. ETA: so that means decisions will be coming out in about a week or two from today. EEP!

I had a second "complete" date. When I submitted my first complete date was in September.JustE wrote:Congrats!Real Madrid wrote:Fiiiiinally went complete today!
ETA: Wait... Hold the phone... I was already complete... I just went complete again... Anyone else?
Pretty sure that means someone just finished reviewing it and added their decision? (wishful thinking...)
After I took my interview (and requested that NU ask for my LOR since apparently LSAC didn't send it), I got a new "complete" date 11/2.

ugh makes me regret even more not applying ED. sadly, i submitted all apps RD without realizing the ED scholarship attached to NU and didn't join TLS until october after I already submitted the RD.emkay625 wrote:whoa.....whoa.......HOW DID I MISS THIS? Yeah, but I don't know what else they could have been missing... No new recs and I confirmed they had everything a few weeks ago... Going to call in a few to make sure I didn't unknowingly miss the ED deadline...foxylaxy wrote:I had a second "complete" date. Sorry for the fire drill
I'm not under review and nothing's changed. They just processed my interview report... It's fair to say I'm firmly at the back of the line
