dumb question: Do we know timeline of finding out about scholly?
Wondering the same thing... I remember reading somewhere that I should hear something in January, but I'm not sure where I heard it or if that's accurate.
So far, people are hearing about 1-2 weeks after being able to access ASW. Go to "mailings & money" -> financial aid communications. GL!
I heard about my scholarship about 2 weeks later in November. The follow up e-mail says it would be sent in January, and my scholarship letter stated I would be eligible for need-based aid as well (not everyone's stated this though) so I guess additional awards will go out later in the year as well.

Hi everyone. Does anyone have an idea what daily status updates mean. The date changes daily but the status is the same. Been going on for over a Month. Thanks.

Still no status checker, sent 12/8 and was received 12/14. Do they normally take this long?

I submitted around the same time as you and I haven't received a status checker either. In the email they said it takes 4-6 weeks so I don't think it's cause for concern.

Seriously... Does nobody read anything anymore before posting?

The status checker updates pretty much everyday... It means nothing.

Yes, it takes several weeks from the time you submit your app until you receive a status checker. Michigan is pretty clear about this in the email you receive once your app has been received.

To be fair, the status checker updating thing hasn't been brought up in this thread for more than 5 pages now so I understand... I mean I wouldn't read through 115 pages to try to find the answer to a question like that either.

I know where you're coming from, SC... that it does get annoying, but remember the days when we were anxiously awaiting any news from schools? I try to cut people some slack.

Theres a search bar in the lower left that searches through the thread. All you have to do is type status checker

Does Michigan allow you to switch from RD to ED? Is there a deadline?

The "OMG Status Checker Updated Again Today What Does It Mean?" question is annoying, especially on this thread where it has been asked 1000x, but it's not going to go away any time soon, and it takes less effort to ignore it or to write "nothing" than to vent a frustration.

Also, I'm wondering why you still post in this thread. You've already been admitted and almost every post you've made on this thread over the past few weeks has been snarky or dismissive. If you don't feel like dealing with the noobs, then don't! We're happy to cover the shift :)

You ask a good question (why am I still posting in here) that I don't really have an answer to. A good friend of mine applied here, as well, and I monitor the thread daily to see if there are any new updates with regard to admissions/denials/waitlists/etc... as he is too lazy to do so. I do not, however, know why I succumb to the madness that is and post. I'm just so ready for school to begin that I'm going partially mad in the head. :-)

But, there should be a sticky at the top of every page with the answer to both of those questions, as they will be asked constantly.

And, for the record, I'm pretty snarky in general. :-)

Wait, so if you've been admitted you shouldn't post? What if you've been admitted, were 99% sure you were going and then that 1% you were holding out for happened and you decided you weren't going anymore?

I'd like to still post in this thread, can I?
