Nah - I submitted the first day so I was probably on top of the pile. I bet they ticked other people over as they went through the piles too, but they couldn't see it because TLS had already outed the glitch, they saw it, fixed it, and the rest had to wait to actually hear when they wanted them too.ScrabbleChamp wrote:Interesting... I wonder what their auto-admit #'s cut off is, as it would seem the only way you'd be admitted 24 hours after submitting would be a quick numbers check. Obviously, 4.0/174 made the cut.MumofCad wrote:Hahaha- well you didn't hear any complaints from me!blowhard wrote:You see what happens when you guys complain the dates aren't accurate?MumofCad wrote:The mailings section is gone. Sorry. You'll have to wait till you get your packet.
(Just kidding...but maybe...who knows why they'd get rid of it.) it's not available under a different link somewhere else?
But I actually do think these things tend to get shut down. UVA this cycle had an error in their status checker that allowed u to see you'd been admitted immediately. I think that's why I got in 24 hrs after submitting. It only lasted 24 hrs. They quickly fixed it and it took another month before calls went out to other RDers all on the same day.

WHO CARES? We have a new leader in the clubhouse.
edit: Watching this Michigan acceptance video is giving me serious chills. Almost making me regret ED'ing NYU.

In via ASW. Kind of shocked actually, because I'm a splitter and I didn't write a Why Michigan.
Went complete 10/12/11, 173, 3.3ish.

Hmmm I just got my package and looks like I am in for the summer start program. I guess I just assumed it was for the fall start from ASW. Anybody know of people who request to change and have it work out? Not saying I will, but there is a chance.

Not sure, I think I would have to switch as well. I was overly optimistic about how fast I could defend and then edit my thesis in the UK system. I wasn't calculating that I'd need to pick up and move by the start date either. I mean I could start on that date if it was here by my house, and I'd love to start then, but could I feasibly move my whole family before that date while finishing up my defense....seems unlikely.thelawyler wrote:Hmmm I just got my package and looks like I am in for the summer start program. Nothing game-changing. I have 4 years of WE that is fairly interesting and unique in the political/government sphere.ColtsFan88 wrote:Just wondering, any huge softs?hdsoc wrote:In via ASW. Kind of shocked actually, because I'm a splitter and I didn't write a Why Michigan.

Full disclosure, the 168 was a hypo based on what I thought I could get. I took once and got a 170. Also, my gpa has been raised somewhat significantly from two summer semesters and two regular semester since that 2010 post. 3.9xUnamSanctam wrote:PM'd me. Applied 11/8. Haven't even gotten an email or status checker. Should I be worried?

I haven't either. They said it takes 3 - 4 weeks and it's only been 10 days for me. (Applied 11/3).

lol @ being worried after five days. You know this is Michigan, right? I'm still worried I might not have submitted in time for the Feb 15 deadline.WhiteGuy5 wrote:Applied 11/8. Haven't even gotten an email or status checker. Should I be worried?

My experience was that once I submitted, there was a bit of a delay in getting a status checker, but then not much delay in getting a decision. Good luck!top30man wrote:Same.emkay625 wrote:I haven't either. They said it takes 3 - 4 weeks and it's only been 10 days for me. (Applied 11/3).

Applied recently, hopeful to get in as Mich. is a top choice tied with Columbia.
With the lawyers club being closed this year, does anyone know if there will be a similar setup or temporary arrangement that serves its purpose? Or has it already reopened? I looked around but no one seems to have asked this, but maybe I'm early.

It's on their website, there is housing but I think it's one of the apartment buildings in town that they leased out.hyakku wrote:Applied recently, hopeful to get in as Mich. is a top choice tied with Columbia.
