Went complete yesterday afternoon and Mr. Dugas would like to speak with me on the phone today. I'm at work and am freaking out

Most likely just letting you know you are in or touching bases with you before admitting you. I had the same happen. They are really nice to speak with and I think they like to let applicants know that they are reading their apps and interested in them as people. No need to worry.FloridaCoastalorbust wrote:Went complete yesterday afternoon and Mr. Dugas would like to speak with me on the phone today. I'm at work and am freaking out

If you are talking to me, thanks and I hope good things are in my future. I really really love U.Va. but I am concerned as I am RD and out of state.FryBreadPower wrote:Great numbers btw; I forsee good things for you!
In the event that I realize 1-2 months from now that U.Va. is truly my top choice (sorry i know that sounds vague but I am not 100% sure right now due to personal situation)... I know last year it was possible to send a signed ED form in at any point .. anyone know if that's the case this year as well? Seems like last year that was how a whole bunch of RD (well technically I guess they started as RD and eventually became ED) out-of-staters got in.

Yes, you can still change from RD to ED at any point as long as no decision has been rendered by the point that you decide that's what you want to do.so_fetch wrote:If you are talking to me, thanks and I hope good things are in my future. So, anyone else notice that the UVA and Duke ASW's are the same day?

Yeah I noticed that, but it seems like going to C-ville is an easy choice for me.vincanity1 wrote:So, anyone else notice that the UVA and Duke ASW's are the same day?

Applied 11/8 Complete 11/9 Under Review 11/10
Early decision, really hoping for UVA! Loved it, spoke with Jason Dugas the other day, great guy.

There is an "under review" stage? Mine has been stuck at "complete" since 9/23, regular decision candidate.wannagotolaw wrote:Applied 11/8 Complete 11/9 Under Review 11/10

I was wondering this as well... looked back through ~10 pages and didn't notice anyone mentioning "under review."MiamiOxford wrote:There is an "under review" stage? Does anyone else not have any status listed on their page at all? I have the header that says my app is complete, but I've never had a status of any kind. Just Year, Program Time, Degree. Nothing to indicate status in the "Status" box.

To the poster above: Look in the paragraph at the top of the page, should say complete (underlined). That is where Virginia puts their status.crumpledq wrote:Does anyone else not have any status listed on their page at all? Also, correct me if I am wrong fellow TLSrs, but looking at LSN, it seems that UVa started rolling out some RD decisions around the 15th and 16th... You guys think we RD candidates might hear back next week possibly?

That's the same thing I have as well. I think they just held off sending a status checker until it was complete.

In RD as of today. Got an email asking me to call Admissions dean in the morning, played phone tag for a while (I think they were talking to a bunch of people). Stoked! LSAT media, GPA just a smidge above median.

General question: so far, UVA seems to be admitting only a few RD applicants each week, mostly with large scholarships. At some point, they'll have to open the floodgates and let in much larger groups. Any ideas on when that will happen?

RD admits have been going on for more than a month already. I assume they will continue next week.MiamiOxford wrote:To the poster above: Look in the paragraph at the top of the page, should say complete (underlined). No one really knows how these things are going to work out this cycle; the huge drop in test takers only compounds the issue. Everyone is a little bit in the dark.AntipodeanPhil wrote:Congratulations!ahnhub wrote:In RD as of today. Anyone have any recommendations as to when I should start sending out LOCI?
