Are RD applicants getting grade requests? I assumed that all of this discussion was for EDers. I'm also assuming that you're not ED to Columbia.AmandaPB wrote:Alright, thanks people. Not really a cause for concern, I suppose.

Cool. I went ahead and sent my Fall grades to LSAC...uh preemptive strike. I understand LSAC automatically updates all schools to which you've applied, correct?lameslice57 wrote:Blessedassurance wrote:How are they requesting fall grades? Email....regular mail?
Or do they specifically request you send it to them when they send the email?

They specificially say that you need to mail it directly to their admissions office.Blessedassurance wrote:Cool. I went ahead and sent my Fall grades to LSAC...uh preemptive strike. I'm starting to feel like it's a bad thing that I haven't received a fall grades request.

I almost agreed with this, still adjusting to the fact that I am not in college anymore... hahavincanity1 wrote:I'm starting to feel like it's a bad thing that I haven't received a fall grades request.

For those of you who are obsessing over the fall grades request, the conclusion last year is that this is very routine. If you have not yet finished your undergrad, you will get a fall grade request - in short, stop worrying and enjoy your holidays.

the problem with the fall grade request is that it pushes back any notification for at least a few weeks, pushing it into mid-late january.

I got an email fall grades request about a week ago, and I'm above their 75th GPA (numbers are in my previous posts).

If they just ask all UG's to send transcript updates, they might as well just not accept UG apps until January. Pretty ridiculous to force everyone to put up an extra few dollars just to be sent to this one school.

Do you have to pay for your transcripts to be sent out? We get something like 5 free ones per weekvincanity1 wrote:If they just ask all UG's to send transcript updates, they might as well just not accept UG apps until January. In undergrad, 3.58/172, no fall grade request=auto reject? I suppose we will find out in the next few days...7ED wrote:For those of you who are obsessing over the fall grades request, the conclusion last year is that this is very routine. 3.86/173 with no grade request yet either.
edit: and yeah, sending grades costs me like 10-15 bucks. so ridiculous.
