Are RD applicants getting grade requests? I assumed that all of this discussion was for EDers. I'm also assuming that you're not ED to Columbia.

Cool. I went ahead and sent my Fall grades to LSAC...uh preemptive strike. I understand LSAC automatically updates all schools to which you've applied, correct?

Or do they specifically request you send it to them when they send the email?

They specificially say that you need to mail it directly to their admissions office.

My theory is that they ask only those who are below their GPA median but could possibly be at or above their GPA median after a good term.

only issue with that is that I am above their median GPA and at the 75th%ile for LSAT. I still got a fall grade request

For those of you who are obsessing over the fall grades request, the conclusion last year is that this is very routine. If you have not yet finished your undergrad, you will get a fall grade request - in short, stop worrying and enjoy your holidays.

the problem with the fall grade request is that it pushes back any notification for at least a few weeks, pushing it into mid-late january.

I got an email fall grades request about a week ago, and I'm above their 75th GPA (numbers are in my previous posts).

If they just ask all UG's to send transcript updates, they might as well just not accept UG apps until January. Pretty ridiculous to force everyone to put up an extra few dollars just to be sent to this one school.

Do you have to pay for your transcripts to be sent out? We get something like 5 free ones per week

Yep, it's like $12 or something. Stupid public schools...

i am still a senior and i got in thru ed w/o grade requests. it shouldn't be a bad thing if you haven't got it.

171/superior and no request. Actually I cannot get my autumn grade until late Feb.

edit: and yeah, sending grades costs me like 10-15 bucks. so ridiculous.
