Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
When I called the office I was told that decisions would be sent out by "the end of this week". So we might have to wait until tomorrow to hear something...Greenandgold wrote:Well they're already closed for today and katp said that the 16th was the latest that we'd hear.AbLSAT wrote:They got to wait till tomm to do it ?!

That's weird. Aren't they obligated to finalize by day 1 of orientation?

I hate to be pessimistic ,but I feel like people who would be getting offers would prb. have received a phone call, right? Especially since orientation is going on.

Yeah, I called admissions again during my lunch break at my other orientation (>_<) and they told me no new information. All they were willing to say was that letters will go out this week...and they refused to tell me of they had already gone out. Not looking good guys

Is it possible that we're getting rejected via snail mail?JamMasterJ wrote:Why aren't we dead yet?

I called the admissions office, and the answer seemed to be "yes".
That's okay, NYU kids have more fun anyway.

Alright, well then since they said we'd have a decision on the way today, we're all rejected, right? They have been using emails for acceptances, and all of our inboxes are empty. Guess your suggestion holds then Jam...DaleCooper wrote:I called the admissions office, and the answer seemed to be "yes".

Also, I'm attending UChi. What's this word "fun" that you speak of?

Ughhh...my guess was that they were waiting to see if there were any "no shows" for their first day of orientation on Thursday. I bet they sent out the rejections today and we will receive them next week. Good lord it would have been nice if there was just an ounce of communication as to what is happening now

yeah. I don't think anyone's handled the WL process better than Dean Richard at UVA. Mich was good, and Penn was OK, but CLS and UChi have been completely silent.katp89 wrote:Ughhh...my guess was that they were waiting to see if there were any "no shows" for their first day of orientation on Thursday. can someone post when they get their denial letter? I'll never see mine since I live 12 hours from where mine is being sent (and ironically, only about 3 miles from CLS).

Has anyone received a letter yet? It was kinda depressing riding this thing out the entire summer, and I want some closure.

I have had my neighbors check my mailbox every single day since I left....nothing...not even today. Unless we are still under consideration due to "no shows" or they literally sent the mail out via pony express I don't know what to say.

No prbs. Just generic letter; invites to apply as a transfer.
