Any of us gonna get the first call? I guess the fact that people that applied late January already got JS1 means the rest of us don't have a shot?

Congrats Byz and all the other JS2s.
If I'm lucky enough to get the JS1/JS2, everyone in the DC area is getting drinks on me!

Is Harvard waiting to interview and accept most URMs with numbers that are lower than 25th percentile until they find out how the rest of the class shapes up?

Damn straight, my Canadian brother! Congrats!!!!!brownpride wrote:JS2 via phome 2 hours ago!
I'm telling you, it's the inherent hottieness of Canadians.
In unrelated news, there should be mock elections on TLS. I got a few votes for Most Flirtatious in high school, let's see if we can make it happen here.

This is what I've read time and time again on here, though I'm not sure how anyone knows except through past interview and acceptance patterns.

Ah. I read somewhere that being AA is like an automatic 10 point boost on the LSAT, but not sure how true that is. In any event, good luck to everyone still waiting!captainwasabi09 wrote:underrepresented minorities, like African Americans, Mexican Americans, and Puerto Ricans.Fortuitous wrote:URMs?Geneva wrote:Is Harvard waiting to interview and accept most URMs with numbers that are lower than 25th percentile until they find out how the rest of the class shapes up?

Not at Harvard. Harvard admits tons of whites every year with 173 LSATs, but I don't think they admitted a single AA last year with a 163 or lower.Fortuitous wrote:I read somewhere that being AA is like an automatic 10 point boost on the LSAT.

Definitely not true. On lsn there is an AA male with a 160 that got in last yr. on tls there was a 159 AA female. Also a 16o AA male later got in off the wait list.

I've seen ~160 Native Americans in at Harvard on LSN

So does Harvard's 10% foreign student body consist only of Canadians? We more conventional foreigners feel left out.madvillain wrote:Congrats to the canadians! another canadian here but i've been held at H since january. not keeping my hopes up since i lack a ridiculously high GPA like you two but hoping H continues to show some love to the neighbors to the north.

Hm, it seems to be so. Canadians do have an advantage, in that many Canadian universities have GPAs or grades that can be pretty easily converted to a GPA, and we don't really have to worry about the English language requirement unless you lived your whole life in the backwoods of Quebec/New Brunswick.hypothalamus wrote:So does Harvard's 10% foreign student body consist only of Canadians? Also my guess is that Harvard isn't considering me part of their foreign student body since I'm a dual citizen and I've lived in Michigan for almost ten years.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
