Edited to add: I, too, will buy you a drink. But only after I turn 21 haha.
Don't worry, I turn 21 a couple of days before I graduate. You will get your drink! I feel like a baby anyway.

I was held, still waiting - and I also have yet to turn 21! Would be a nice birthday present to get a JS1...or JS2...

Another 20 year-old here, thanks to British 3-year degrees. Radio silence since complete on 2/2 for me.

As soon as 2 days, as many as...2 months. Check your call history to make sure you're not hallucinating !erinbecca wrote:Hi all! I have a question for JS2s: how long after getting the phone call did it take to receive an email/letter from Harvard?

The worst thing is knowing that there is a whole hour in which the call could come. It would better if it just came at one scheduled time.captainwasabi09 wrote:any minute now... so nervous!

JS1 email this afternoon. Scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. ::gulp:: Was hoping I'd have a little more time to prepare than that. I'm not the greatest interviewer. I plan on reading through this thread a bit for advice, but do any recent JS1ers have Soban-specific advice?

So it looks like they're almost done then with the January submitters. They should be getting to the holds next week if they're scheduling the JS1s this week for people who submitted right before the deadline.

What about us, who submitted in late December but have been passed over?Doorkeeper wrote:So it looks like they're almost done then with the January submitters. They should be getting to the holds next week if they're scheduling the JS1s this week for people who submitted right before the deadline.
Do you think they'll go by submission date even after everyone has received some initial review (and some have received holds)? It seems kind of doubtful things will be in any chronological order from here on...

It looks like they're completing their preliminary review of everyone first. I would assume that they would then go to the Dec/Jan people that they've yet to hold to figure out what they're doing with those applications...then they're get to the holds and all chronology gets thrown out the window. I think a January 26 applicant is a good signal they're finishing up their late applicants now...banker9 wrote:thoughts on this? there are a ton of ppl who applied before late January and haven't been held or heard anything right? Re: Harvard 2012 applicants (class of 2015)
Hi guys, here's my JS1 experience today.
My interview got rescheduled for later in the day, which was no problem for me because I'm on break. I was super duper nervous but tried to keep myself together. JS was really nice and personable and just asked for me to talk about a couple of things I mentioned in my application, mostly why this type of law you are interested in (mentioned in my personal statement), and about something I talked about in my diversity statement. I kinda choked in terms of articulating my thoughts on the second question but hopefully she figures I was just nervous. I also asked a few questions and after that she said it was nice talking to me and that I should hear soon. Or at least I think so. The call sound quality on my phone isn't that good.
My phone says it was a 12-minute long interview, though it felt like less, probably because I'm a very chatty person.
If you have any more questions y'all can PM me.

You forgot to mention the part where she said "yeah, I'm just gonna tell you now you're getting in, along with all the other ballin' TLS crowd. And JS1 emails are on the way for the hold pile too."captainwasabi09 wrote:Hi guys, here's my JS1 experience today.

Yeah, that sounds about right. It was all the lousy call sound quality.Byzantine wrote:You forgot to mention the part where she said "yeah, I'm just gonna tell you now you're getting in, along with all the other ballin' TLS crowd.
