We can be miserable together. When did you apply? I haven't seen anyone who applied when/after I applied get one yet--maybe we're just further down the list?
Applied 9/15, complete 10/13. Median LSAT, just below median GPA.

Woohoo, congrats freestallion! I'm sure you'll rock your interview.
Thank you, I'm sooo thrilled to even be in the running here!

Are chances of getting in at this point much lower, though?
Much lower? I certainly wouldn't think so, especially considering that interviews began a bit later this year than in previous cycles. In any case, I like to think of your chances being unique to you individually - an evaluation of your numbers, softs, and interviewing ability should ultimately determine your possibility of acceptance. I know this answer is banal, but it's surely more accurate. With your acceptance at Berkeley (which suggests a unique background/good softs) and your numbers, I think you've got a good shot. And I don't think they enter each round of KB1s thinking, "we need to aim for X percent acceptance rate for this batch".

Congratulations! Very pleased to see you got the email, and there's absolutely no need to worry about the interview. I just had my KB1, and she is extraordinarily kind and a joy to talk to.

Wow... first splitter with KB1? (Reverse splittter)
Naah, reverse splitters have been doing very well this cycle. Also, isn't Harvard's 25th LSAT a 170 (which jungminnee seems to have)?

Edit: NM -- looks like Harvard's 25th is 171.

Congrats Freestallion-

You've always been one of my favorite posters (It might have something to do with your Amelie avatar). I wish you the best.

I have similar numbers-- 174, 3.81-- still haven't heard anything...

I went complete 11/10.

Thanks for the insight. I do think I have some interesting softs, but I also heard the chance of acceptance decreases after Thanksgiving, so I was just curious to learn more.

And thank you everyone else!

1. What are you doing these days
2. Why law
3. Why harvard
4. Which field of law (not everyone was asked this, and KB explicitly told me it was ok to say "I don't know")
5. Any questions

I'm right there with you. The post was mostly the work of my subconscious, attempting to convince me that my chances aren't lower now than they were earlier on.

I think what you're referring to is for applications that are submitted after Thanksgiving. That's why Admissions Deans say submit before Thanksgiving if possible. I mean...most people get in later on than early lol.

Applied 9/15, complete 10/13. Median LSAT, just below median GPA.
Still nothing here, too. But it's still early in the cycle in the grand scheme of things.

I applied 10/29 but my second LOR wasn't received by LSAC until 11/14. My status checker still says application received. Should I be worried?

How does someone find a way to answer question two without being able to come up with anything for question four?

I imagine people change their mind about the field they want to study pretty frequently once entering law school and having jobs - she told me I didn't have to answer what I want to do, just what I was interested in, which was pretty easy to answer.

No one who applied 11/6+ has gotten any KB1s/KB1 interviews, correct?

Congrats to all the new KB1's!

According to Zelda who just recently received a KB1 invite as well, the email changed a bit. Initially, it listed this blog as a resource to use to prepare for the KB1.

--LinkRemoved--

but now apparently the email stopped featuring this blog. So here it is and read over it in case it wasn't mentioned in the email.

Yeah, my answer to 2 revealed which fields of law I was interested in, so when she asked me 4, I just reiterated those interests.

For what it's worth...

I do have a specific field of law that I want to practice, which was also the focus of my PS. She asked me about what types of careers I'd like to pursue in this area. Didn't ask "why Harvard," so the sequence of my interview went like this:

1. What are you up to these days?
2. So I see that you're interested in X field, am I right that this is what you want to study?
3. Do you have an idea of what types of careers interest you in this field?
4. Any questions?
