From what I can tell on LSN, for 170-171 LSAT's they like to waitlist people with GPA's between 3.4-3.6, and accept people with GPA's over 3.6. But who knows.80eight wrote:Thats not zero chance...or maybe I'm just fooling myself because my numbers are close.iamrobk wrote:Got the status checker this morning, says my application is being processed with a date of 10/27/11 (when I initially submitted). I have 0 chance for NYU (171, 3.53), but I figured why not apply. I got in undergrad, but chose not to go, maybe they'll still want me.

1) my citizenship on my status tracker just changed from US to Uzbekistan...?
2) my app has been processing since 9/30.
im about to email the office of admissions about both items.

Did everyone submit more than one letter? You think only submitting one would look bad? I'm still waiting for my employer rec but I want to get this out now....

I went Complete around 10/12 or so and went Under Review on 10/28. Is anyone else under review? I really have no chance, just wondered what everyone's timelines were like.

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
Thanks. I went back a couple pages to around the date I went under review and didn't see any other comments about it. Didn't think to look back even earlier, assuming a big batch would go under review on the same date.elibrarian wrote:Look back a few pages, a bunch of people are under review.mijenks wrote:I went Complete around 10/12 or so and went Under Review on 10/28. Did anyone get confirmation that their ED contract was received?? I sent mine registered so I know it was signed for over a week ago, but would be nice to know for sure at some point before it's due... Status checker still reads processing since 10/17

I'm not sure what your last line means. Surely, 52% were not accepted by 11/2 in 2010...

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
According to the data I mined from LSN (which i am skeptical of)
of those who applied by 11/2/2011 52% were accepted.

Thank you! Impressive data mining. Surprising that despite the reduced # of applicants, the mean/medians have for the most part risen among this small pool.

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
While the data from stanford did see a drop in medians and a drop in applications i would actually expect the opposite.
Less Apps are from many people opting to not pursue law---those staying in the field are likely those who see themselves as competitive. IT will balance out as now they have less people to choose from and therefore will still have to lower standards...
if apps are down.

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
But LSAT scores are given in percentiles, and these stay pretty damn constant over each test. So with a drop in test takers, we see a drop in people scoring, e.g., 170+.admisionquestion wrote:While the data from stanford did see a drop in medians and a drop in applications i would actually expect the opposite.

Re: NYU Class of 2015 Applicants
But what about all of the people that apply, and then update LSN at the end of the cycle? That is what I'm doing. Are those statistics from people who had applied by that point, or just had updated their LSNs by that point? I'm assuming, of course, that when I do eventually make an LSN, I can put that I applied in early October...admisionquestion wrote:LSN Data Mining:

You can edit the dates for when you applied, got a response, etc.80eight wrote:But what about all of the people that apply, and then update LSN at the end of the cycle? That is what I'm doing.
