Can you defer enrollment after being accepted early decision?

What is the best way of going about this? email? phone call?

Also what are legit reasons for deferral?

Contact the individual school. Every school has different policies.

Ask them for a deferral, state your reasons. They may not grant it but you can always withdraw even if you ED.

yea that makes sense. i don't have a reason other than not being sure about whether ls is right for me. what is a decent and plausible excuse that i can give.

OP, I'm assuming you can say you'd like to defer for financial reasons.
