Let me know if there is a protocol for dealing with the below situation.
I am waitlisted at my #1 school. They will give me a decision in June. I got into my #2 school and my #2 school wants a deposit in mid-May. Can I call #1 school and tell them about my predicament and gently ask them to render a speedy decision?
What is the proper procedure in this situation? What have people done in the past?

Idk if it would be to your advantage to ask for a speedy decision. Unlikely that #2 gives you an extension until June. Best bet is just pay the deposit to #2 and eat it if you get into #1.
