Adding a little late, but got my JR2 off the waitlist Thursday so there was some kind of 2nd round of admits:

JR1 email: Tuesday
JR1: Wednesday
JR2: Thursday

Thanks! I wish I knew why there was the second round. Not sure if I should be excited or disheartened but CONGRATULATIONS!

Congrats! More movement would be a great graduation present. I don't even have to have a JR1, I just want more movement! A rejection would also be nice.

I'm guessing there will be a bit more movement next week. This week will probably be pretty quiet though (if history is any indication).

good question - I wish they would tell us a rank or just a general position on the waitlist so we could either keep hoping (but in a rational way) or move on with our lives

My friend just got her JR1 email yesterday and has it today at 3 EST. She's AA, 163/3.81. How good are her chances? Is she pretty much in?

Doesn't matter at this point, they are probably trying to fill seats with the right person. If they don't like the stats you wouldn't be on the WL.

I'm 162, 3.7...I got in. I'd say she has a good shot.

I'm deferred, and I believe it was May 1st, the same as the deposit deadline. They said some deferrals in June may also be granted, but that those are not as guaranteed as May deferrals.

Do any of you call the admissions office to show continued interest?

Calling won't help. A LOCI will maybe, maybe, maybe help if you are right on the borderline.

At this point I doubt the benefit of sending a loci. Maybe in a few months when people legitimately decide they aren't going to hls if they get in off the waitlist. Most of us are fucked anyways, so who cares.

Agreed. There might be a small amount of movement next week--but, yes, most of are SOL at this point.

Are we expecting some movement this week? And is this pretty much the last week with a good amount of movement?
