Held at SMU 2011 w/poll Forum

With the ides of April in the rearview mirror, we are quickly approaching the decision date for the Held for Further Review class of 2014/15. Since I spend most of my time on this site trying to predict my future, and identify glimmers of hope that Held will turn to accepted I'm making a thread as per Warflamingo's suggestion, complete with poll that will give all of us an idea as to how many other people are in the same boat. Also, we can change our votes so there is data to illustrate Held-> Accepted.

They've had my app for 6 months now. I'm pleased with the concept of attending UH, and at this point SMU would have to make CoA equal for me to consider attending.

Those of you that didn't apply for early admission wouldn't be held for further review, only application complete, I think it's the same thing.

Does anyone know if they deferred a large number of EA applicants last year? Looking on LSN it seems like all of the late April people were WL.

Can anyone who was held then recently accepted/rejected (or just recently received a decision even if you weren't held) give your numbers?

And please say if PT or FT. It also seems like they are going in waves, doing PT last week and apparently this week.

I applied RD (day application was due), and was accepted FT 161/3.91 last week

Does anyone still waiting have a 164 or above LSAT? Just asking out of curiosity. I heard 164 was kind of a cut-off point in the first round of admissions.

I do. My GPA is below their 25th though. Applied in December and still held.

...I guess nothing this week.

According to the header on my status checker, I "will be notified of a decision by the end of April", so hopefully they really will make a decision by next Friday. *crosses fingers*

I think next week will be an interesting week for all of us, although if you call them they will say "late April or early May" so it's possible that another 1-2 weeks could be in store.
